Good mock. I don't see Clay Matthews going before Rey Maualuga. If he's available at the 15th pick...the Texans will consider Mauluga, Cushing, or Beanie Wells.

Clay Matthews is a bit of a surprise pick but the thing ive found following the draft the last few years is that the Texans are not afraid to make the unorthadox pick in the first round. I think Clay is the kindof guy that staff would love to have and wouldnt be afraid to reach for. That all being said I think he could have the most all around productive career out of the 3 USC backers and personally dont think it is much of a reach.

Pretty good Patriots pick but I don't know if he's the best in a 3-4. I like him in both but think he's more of a 4-3 DE. Could happen, but I wouldn't say it's likely.

Not to mention that HOU also signed his uncle to work eith the team a few weeks ago. THat probably doesn't have much to do with their thinking though lol.
BTW, good Ravens pick.

Hes not an ideal fit but I think Parcells could make it happen. Maybe a corner is a better fit?

Macks not a bad pick, but I'd rather get Beatty.

I have said it many times, I hate Raji to the Bengals.

why is that?
Probably the best mock I've seen on here, top to bottom with the exception of Maclin over Crabtree. I'd reverse those.

why is that?
1. They already have two good defensive tackles
2. They have no good offensive tackles

But he has Jason Smith and Eugene Monroe off the board. You'd take Oher and Andre Smith over B.J. Raji?

Hell yes
They don't need a defensive tackle, they need an offensive tackle BADLY!! Smith is more than good enough for the 6th pick.

hmmm... i guess i just never really thought Peko was all that good and Thornton is getting old. Itd be nice to have a guy eating up blockers for Rivers tho. I think the clincher is going to be the fact that the Bengals staff got a firsthand look at Raji tearing up the senior bowl. They do need a tackle BAD especially with Levi Jones injury still a bit up in the air, there very well could be a guy there in the second. Id think Beatty or Loadholt could be options.

The Saints take best player available. Cushing is not the BPA. If the draft went the way you have it, the Saints would take Chris Wells.

I think in this scenario the Pats could go with maybe better value by taking Harin or even Beanie Wells. They would then have their choice at #34 of Barwin/English or Sintim. Expect the unexpected with them.

Corner is a big need for Miami and JL is just not physical player he needs to be in a 4-3.

The staff loves Peko and he was given a 5 yr $30 million dollar extension last season. They also drafted Pat Sims in round 3 last year and he played very well in limited action.
Raji is more talented than both no doubt but they literally have nothing at offensive tackle.
