Don't have school today and its raining like hell outside, so its a perfect time for another mock draft hehe :D This is my last one with explanations till the day before the draft.

1. Detroit Lions – Matthew Stafford – QB – Georgia – After watching the trade with Cutler and the Bears, I realized how important QB really is. Denver had a great 1 and by letting him go, it set them back atleast 3 years. With that being said, I feel that QB really is by far and away the most important position in the game of football and if you don't have one of the best, you do not pass 1 up. Jason Smith or Monroe would be better IMO, but QB is just too big of a need.

2. St. Louis Rams – Eugene Monroe – OT – Virginia – From what I've heard, the Rams are more interested in Monroe than Smith, not sure if thats correct but it does make sense. Monroe is a much betetr run blocker than Jason Smith is and St. Louis is a run first team with Steven Jackson. So look for them to take the safer tackle who excels in blocking for what they want to do, which is run the football.

3. Kansas City Chiefs – Aaron Curry – OLB – Wake Forrest – Alot of people say this pick is a no-brainer but it could hard to pass up Orakpo. They need a pass rush badly and Curry isn't as good as Orakpo went it comes to rushing the passer. Plus, Orakpo has had a great offseason and hasn't done anything to hurt his stock and has showed that he isn't the next Vernon "Ghost"ston, but in the end, Pioli will take the best player in this draft, and argualby the safest player to come out since Calvin Johnson. Curry will give them a stud at OLB, and be the perfect compliment to Derrick Johnson. He's the playmaker on defense that they need badly.

4. Seattle Seahawks – Jason Smith – OT – Baylor – I really can't see why they would take Sanchez. He is very raw and he isn't the kind QB they need to bring in. He would fail in there offense. No quality protection, decent WR targets, non-existent run game, plus they've got Hasslebeck who can lead them to the playoffs if given a decent offense. Jason Smith makes more sense to me. Walter Jones is 35, getting hurt and older and they could really use a replacment, no other tackle in this draft has a higher ceiling than Smith and Seattle wouldn't hesistate to take him.

5.Cleveland Browns – Brian Orakpo – DE – Texas – Orakpo really helped himself the most out of all the defensive ends this offseason, and I can't see Cleveland passing on him. They need a pass rush more than anything and if they keep Braylon, I guess they can put off WR till round 2.

6. Cincinnati Bengals – Andre Smith – OT - Alabama – Andre Smith might have a pair of boobies, he might have gone AWOL at the combine, he might have had a terrible offseason, but when you strap the guy up, throw him into the game, he jsut dominates the guy in front of him, boobs or no boobs, he gets the job done, and thats the kind of tackle Cincinatti needs on there offensive line, someone who can dominate in the run game, and hold his own in the pass, Andre Smith might have had the worst offseason we've seen for a while, but the tubby is talented.

7. Oakland Raiders – Michael Crabtree – WR – Texas Tech – Easy pick here, with A.Smith, J.Smith and Monroe all gone, Crabtree is a lock. He is the missing piece in that Oakland offense. They've got a talented backfield, a great young TE, a maturing QB in Russel, and a solid o-line, but they don't have a consistent playmaking WR and Crabtree gives them that.

8.Jacksonville Jaguars – Jeremy Maclin – WR – Missouri – You can blame the Jags o-line all you want about there offensive struggles, but I blame there WR's. Davis Garrard is mobile enough to survive behind a shaky o-line, but if his WR's can't catch, then he is screwed. He could avoid the rush all and make a terrific throw, only to have his WR drop the ball. Give them Maclin and Garrard finally has a consistent go-to-guy who has great hands and is a threat to score whenever he's got the ball. Oh and Mark Sanchez is out of the question if you ask me. First off, he'd struggle behind there o-line, second off, they don't have any decent WR's and plus, this is probably Jack Del Rio's final chance to get things straight so I doubt he wants to take a QB and just restart, he'll go for the guy that gives them the best chance to "win now", and thats Maclin for sure.

9.Green Bay Packers – Everette Brown – OLB – Florida St. - With Raji failing his drug test, I can see them opting for Brown instead. Adding a pass rush freak like him makes Aaron Kampmans transition to OLB so much more easier, plus, a key part of having a successful 3-4 defense, is to have 2 very good pass rushing OLB's. Everette Brown gives them that here.

10.San Francisco 49ers – Michael Oher – OT – Mississippi – Singletary said that Tackle is there biggest need, so I can't see them passing on Oher. IMO, Sanchez should be the pick, but if Mike Singletary believes in something, no one will change his mind. I kinda agree with him, he is building a foundation and then adding the QB. Oher and Staley gives them a great young duo at RT and LT.

11.Buffalo Bills – Robert Ayers – DE – Tennessee – If all the hype on Robert Ayers is true, then I can see the Bills taking him at #11. He is very strong, versitle and can excel in the run game, as well as pressure the passer. Could be a suprise pick, but they suprised everyone a couple years back when they choose Donte Whitner right?

12.Denver Broncos – BJ Raji – DT – Boston College – VERY VERY tough position to put the Broncos in, do they take Mark Sanchez, or do they shore up there defense and add the best NT in the draft. I say, they'll go defense. A NT like Raji is the key to a successful 3-4 defense and they need it desperatly. Plus, with the way they handled the Jay Cutler situtation, they probably don't value a franchise QB as much as other teams, plus McDaniels did a solid job with a decent QB in Cassel, so look for him to have similar success with Orton and Simms. Plus, there defense is just too bad for them to pass Raji up. (me personally would take Sanchez, but I can't see them doing it)

13.Washington Redskins – Clint Sintim – OLB – Virginia - This might be a bit too high for Sintim, but I think we can all agree, he is good enough to be taken at #13, might be a little suprising but he fills a huge need at SLB. They lost Marcus Washington and Sintim is an ideal replacment. Plus, with Oher and Andre Smith both gone it makes more sense.

14.New Orleans Saints – Malcolm Jenkins – CB/S – Ohio St. - if Malcolm Jenkisn fell to them, they should be overjoyed. They get the best corner in the draft, who can play both Safety and Corner for them. He'd most likely play safety for them since they are pretty solid at corner.

15.Houston Texans – Aaron Maybin – Maybin might be a liability in the run game, but right now they just want a pass rush to compliment Marion. Luckily for them, Maybin has arguably the best first step in the draft and is a great pass rusher. However, his run stoping ability needs to improve and I feel like it will as he matures.

16.San Diego Chargers – Tyson Jackson - DE - L.S.U. - I've pegged Tyson Jackson at this spot for a long long time and I still haven't changed my mind. HE is the perfect replacment for Igor Olshalsky who was a key part of there 3-4. I can't see how they can pass on him.

17.New York Jets – Mark Sanchez– QB – USC - If the Jets land Sanchez, without trading up, they would finally please there fans on draft day. Year after year they have questionable drafts but this year, 1 need sticks out and that is QB. Rex Ryan has said that he is fine with Ratliff and Clemens, but that is probably a smokescreen. He'd take Sanchez is a heartbeat, especially after he saw John Harbaugh has so much success in Baltimore with Joe Flacco.

18.Denver Broncos – Vontae Davis - CB – Illinois – Is Freeman a possibility here? If they pass on Sanchez, I'm pretty sure they'd pass up Freeman. I think Vontae Davis fits a bigger need. Outside of Champ, there is a question mark at the other CB spot. Add in Davis, and Denver has one of the most physical defensive backfields in the game with Baliey, Dawkins and Vontae. Those 3 alone, would contribute alot in the run game as well.

19.Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Josh Freeman – QB – Kansas State – Raheem Morris has raved about Freeman, and if Freeman is availible at #19, I doubt they would pass him up. First off, Morris and him go back when they were together in Kansas, second of all, they have no starting caliber QB's on that roster and they need one desperatly. Freeman might be a project, but you never know. Joe Flacco was supposed to be project too right? If Freeman is coached up right, and put into the right system(offensivly) he could start from day 1.

20.Detroit Lions - Peria Jerry – DT – Ole Miss – LT is a possibilty here but there defense was just as bad, if not worser than there offense was. I can't see how they can pass up Jerry here. He's the clear cut 2nd best tackle availible and is an instant upgarde.

21.Philadelphia Eagles – Chris "Beanie" Wells – RB – Ohio State – Many people say Knowshon Moreno here, but he is similar to Westbrook in some ways. I think they need a totally different type of back and Wells fits the bill. I read somewhere that he ran a 4.44-4.38 on his pro day and if so, he gives them a power back, who has the speed and power to take a -3 yard loss, into a 8 yard gain. Philly needs a workhorse, and they get the best availible with Wells here.

22.Minnesota Vikings - Eben Britton - OT – Arizona - Britton gets the nod over Beatty here. He is more dominate in the run game and is a better pass blocker IMO. He just fits what the Vikings need better than Beatty.

23.New England Patriots – Rey Maualuga – ILB -USC - If Maialuga fell to them, I can't see how they can pass him up. Him and Mayo gives the Patriots one of the best ILB duos in the league. Both are young, talented, smart and aer still getting better.

24.Atlanta Falcons – Brandon Pettigrew – TE – Oklahoma - If Pettigrew falls this far, It would be too good for the Falcons to pass up. He is the total package when it comes to a TE. Atlanta loves to run the ball, and Pettigrew is a fantastic blocker, plus, he gives them another weapon for the rising star in Matt Ryan. When you've got a young star like him, it will NEVER hurt to give him more weapons.

25.Miami Dolphins – Sean Smith – CB – Utah – With Mauluga and Davis gone, I think they'll still opt for Smith. He has great tools and could potentially be the next Chris McAlister. They really need a physical presence in there backfield and Smith would be a nice fit.

26.Baltimore Ravens – Darrius Heyward-Bey – WR – Maryland – Heyward-Bey might be a boom for bust prospect, but I think people only say that because he had very little production, but when you look at his skill set, it just blows you away. 6-2 and he runs a 4.3 If he is coached up right, he could be a huge steal for the Ravens, lucky for raven fans, they've got one of the best coaching staffs in the league and Heyward-Bey should shine in our system. Flacco with his rocket arm throwing to Heyward-Bey and his track star speed is a dream come true for any raven fan. The city of Baltimore could finally get a star QB and a star WR!

27.Indianapolis Colts – Percy Harvin – WR – Florida - Many people think Harvin is a top 15 pick, but I can't see any team in the top 15, yet alone any team in the top 20 that will take Harvin. If he falls to Indy, I can't see how they pass him up. He is just too talented and he gives there offense ANOTHER added dimension and thats scary.

28.Philadelphia Eagles – William Beatty – OT – UCONN - They added Stacey Andrews but they lost Tra Thomas. Beatty has some work to do but in a couple years, could be alot better than Eben Britton or even Michael Oher.

29.New York Giants – Kenny Britt – WR – Rutgers – Easy pick here. Britt makes up for everything they lost in Plaxico. He's got the perfect size, he's much more aggresive, and fits there offense alot better. And since the Giants are one of the best running teams, it won't hurt that Britt is probably the best blocking WR to come along in a while.

30.Tennessee Titans – Alphonso Smith – CB – Wake Forest – The Titans are set on one side with Cortland Finnegean but on the other they have the aging Nick Harper. Smith would be the perfect compliment to Finnegean and he is a nice fit for there defense. He's smart, instictive, has great ball skills, and terrific overall skill set. He gives there backfield another playmaker and hopefully adding him boosts there pass coverage since they will need to hold up longer with the loss of Albert Haynesworth.

31.Arizona Cardinals – Knowshon Moreno – RB – Georgia – If Moreno falls to them, they'd take him in a heartbeat. He won't need to take 20-23 carries since there passing game is so strong but he would be fantastic in there system. He'd the Matt Forte of there offense and let Hightower take care of the short yardage situtations.

32.Pittsburgh Steelers – D.J. Moore - CB - Vanderbilt - The Steelers really like the "wildcard" type players (Dennis Dixon, Randel-El, and them speaking highly of Pat White) So I could see them taking Moore early. Plus they have a need for young talent at Corner and Moore could be a very good nickelback until Townsend retires or gets benched.

Nice Lions picks and good evaluation for the Vikes. Ayers and Sintim are really overvalued though.

Sintim more than Ayers, I think. Sintim is a late first rounder IMO but I think the Skins could suprise some people. As for Ayers, apparently his "great offseason" has made him a top 12 player in the draft (I can't see how) and Buffalo isn't afraid to make a questionable pick (remember Donte Whitner) so don't rule out Ayers, plus he is more "rounded" than Maybin.

Yeah I guess we'll have to see. I think a team would be making a big mistake though. I think as a rule a good offseason should propel you forward more than a few picks. It may turn out well though. At the beginning of last year's draft season I thought Jerod Mayo was a late first and then NE took him with the 10th pick and he put up huge numbers.

I'm not disagreeing with Michael Oher being a possibility at #10 because he is. However, Coach Singletary said that RT was a glaring need PRIOR to their signing of Marvel Smith.

very good point. But with Everette Brown gone, I opted for Oher anyway. Smith will never be as good as Oher could be, plus some competition is never a bad thing. It's something Singletary would do and like. But you make a good clear point, next time, I'll look for a pass rusher instead.

They surprised us 3 years ago with a completely different management team and that player worked out, so why not again right?

Anything that isn't Brandon Pettigrew to the Bills I don't like :p

Very good Vikings pick, although I don't think that Beatty would even get consideration as he gets no push in the run game, and is limited to LT.

Sintim looks like a second rounder to me.

As for Rey to New England i think he comes with a lot of baggage, he's going to have a hard time keeping his head about him at the pro level and wont have USC to bail him out. Also i'm not sure he's a 3 down player.

I noticed you left Cushing and Matthews out of the 1st round, i hope it's not related to recent rumors because those appear to have been proven garbage.
