Did this a couple of years back. Last time, the midwest was voted as the most populated region on the draftcountdown boards. What's it gonna be like this time?

By that chart, i'm part of the South-West, but i'm practically in Mexico. If you put your cursor on the tip of Kobe's farthest right finger (on YFS' sig), slide the cursor up to the first hint of red you see, and that's where i live.

JK man, I know a lot of people that have moved here from Jersey and most are great people. But its always the few who ruin for the whole. There are a couple Jersey people who just piss everybody off. It's not necessarily about Jersey, its about the people. As I said, most are great people, but its always the a-holes who people remember, and there are a ton from everywhere. It's mainly A. South Jersey, from what I've heard and B. Guidos/dbags that give NJ a bad name, despite prolly not being that big of a relative population.

I used to go to NJ to visit family twice a year every year. I don't hate it, but there are certainly a lot of other places I'd rather go. It's definitely not the worst place, but it's still fun to make fun. ;)

the problem i think most people have with New Jersey is that the people from New Jersey have this ridiculous arrogance about New Jersey... They think it's the greatest place on earth, when in reality it probably sucks (never been).

It's also extremely weird that people from New Jersey are not only proud of being from there, but want to make sure everyone else knows that's where they're from. It's sickening. Perhaps it's merely the guido factor though.

In my area of PA, there are a lot of people that have moved in from NJ and NY. I'd say about 1/10th of the people I know are former NJ folks. And there are really only 4 or 5 out of the countless ones that I know that have that mentality, as I said in one of my posts aobut it before, but that is what really bugs people about it.

Not exactly the case. I don't exactly think Jersey is the greatest place on earth, frankly I don't like it very much and depending on how things come together definitely wouldn't mind moving somewhere else down the road.

And again, not always the case. Many people I know (myself included) don't exactly advertise it, but if asked they'll tell just like anyone else would. Sometimes people are sarcastic about it, I know I can be, but it's pretty hard to mistake that for genuine pride/flaunting where you're from.

Granted there are plenty of idiots from NJ and lots of people that really suck, but you'll find people that suck just about anywhere. I just think that's a really, really broad generalization.

I'm not saying it's bad food, but you can't really market a "Canadian restaurant" with that.

I could be unaware of some Canadian specialities, but I'm pretty sure Canadian cuisine is a cosmopolitan mix, much like American cuisine is.

Well Down Town is filled with homeless people everywhere, unless your in Brickle.

South Beach is pretty much what your looking for but its expensive as hell.

I live in Sunny Isles, which is condos on the beach, and then a bunch mini malls on the other side of the road, but not much night life. All the clubs are in So Be and DT, DT is 18+ both guys and girls, So Be is 21+ guys 18+ girls.

NMB is good in some areas, other areas its really bad same goes with Hollywood.

Driving and Bus, doesn't really take that long. From Sunny Isles to DT or So Be its around 15 min, without traffic, with traffic thats a different story.

South Beach is overrated and way too expensive to live in. You'll be paying 10 dollars for a bud light at any club, **** that. I'm biased but I love Hollywood. Downtown Hollywood has great clubs/bars...it has the best reggae club in all of South Florida - Ginger Bay Cafe (open till 4 in the morning btw, maybe 5?), a great dance club in Spice, great restaurants (any type of food you want) and the best bars. They are relatively inexpensive too, especially when compared to most downtown places in South Florida. You could live within walking distance of the beach and downtown in a nice place for easily under $1000 a month.

You are also centrally located so if you do want to drop a couple hundred bucks in South Beach one night or make go to Ft Lauderdale you can do both. You're also within 5 minutes of Cheetahs and Scarletts, that's always fun! ;-)

Yes it is a little bit...eccentric here and it deserves it's nickname of HollyHood or HollyWeird in some places but I love it and for my money its the best city down here.

The only drawback is from the months of November - March the beach area is swamped with old Quebecs and they suck at everything, especially anything that involves moving..IE driving, riding a bike, walking...they don't seem to understand how to do those things...but luckily they stay pretty near the beach and don't stray far. Plus they don't spend much money so you won't have to run into them at a bar or restaurant or anything..

I got to agree I like it much better than my suburbia in Queens, NYC. Maybe, I like it better because I am older and can enjoy it better, but with all that I've done if I go back to Queens I'll be like the king over there.

Beaches, Bitches, Nice Cars, Nice houses, um what else do we need in life? Food? we got that too, NY pizza 1000000000000x better though :(

There are plenty of places with NY pizza in SoFL

Yes so many Quebecans.. Quebecians... Quebecs??? w/e the old ones completely ruin the beaches :(.

Also a lot of big loud Russians, I despise them and their Russian techno/pop music, although there are some nice looking Russian girls.

Hollywood is nice, I'd got their if I wanted to go to a bar, but honestly if you want to go clubbing South Beach is where it is at, I don't care if its overpriced, Mansion, Cameo, So Be lite are amazing clubs, and even some latin clubs are great like Ink, I've been to Ink twice at it was amazing, and it isn't one of the more big time clubs.

the problem i think most people have with New Jersey is that the people from New Jersey have this ridiculous arrogance about New Jersey... They think it's the greatest place on earth, when in reality it probably sucks (never been).

It's also extremely weird that people from New Jersey are not only proud of being from there, but want to make sure everyone else knows that's where they're from. It's sickening. Perhaps it's merely the guido factor though.
No. I've met one kid that's like that and I live here.

What does that mean?
Subs instead of Hoagies? Ham and Cheese sub instead of ham and cheese hoagie... No big difference.

This.

It's a rare process, and commonly confused with the common gas and wood burning oven pizzas. They even have to put in the store the PIZZA IS SUPPOSED TO BE CHARRED as a warning because kids come from Philadelphia with mothers from Brooklyn thinking they know what they are talking about.

He does if your talking about pizza a very very long time ago

New York’s first pizzas were baked in coal-fired ovens, which are now a relative rarity (and down by one, with the Coney Island stalwart Totonno’s temporarily closed).

Most people now eat very large slices of oven or brick style pizza, in NY. So it would kind of be correct to say its not NY style since it phased out. But apparently people are trying to bring it back

ARGH!, that's the whole point! Did you not see me say it's a very rare process that you don't see often? It's coal fired that he ate it, coal fired is supposed to be cooked well done. It cooks the entire pizza in 3 and half minutes, it's kind of hard to not burn it.

Ironically I just got a pizza for lunch today, a customized one since I subbed that Un-American canadian bacon for no pepperoni... I hate pepperoni, it's vile. No charge for the expensive extra substitute, but if I specified provolone (less tums required after) over the standard mozzarella it cost extra... isn't any meat topping more expensive than provolone? It's a puzzle, I know.

see this is where you're just completely wrong. Because of the way the pizza lies on the top, you can tell that it is fresh mozzarella. Cut from a ball or log of cheese. That is the best kind of mozzarella. I do like toppings, but a pizza like that doesn't need anything other than the basil.

That is a perfectly cooked pizza.

Definitely, you want the crust to be baked enough that it's not a sponge for grease and that crunchiness is an addition that is a must.

True, which mean it's all subjective. An example to me would be a steak...I like my steak blood rare, like still cold in the middle. If it has a warm center; to me it's overcooked.

A coal fired pizza though (here we go again hah) can't possibly be anything BUT charred on the bottom, as like I said it only takes 3 and a half minutes to cook the entire pizza. Those ******* cook at 900 degrees!

My apologies to the OP for somehow turning this into a pizza thread but umm I am from the Southeast. Now you know...
