31. Arizona Cardinals - Chris Wells, RB, Ohio St.

32. Pittsburgh Steelers - Alphonso Smith, CB, Wake Forest

Comments: Again in my mock, Maybin drops out of Round 1 as does Larry English ... just too many other players convert to a 34 defense better ... Bey overtakes Maclin as the #2 WR ... Vontae Davis drops below both Butler and Sean Smith on the CB rankings ...

1) love the ravens pick.

2) no way andre smith falls out the top 6.

I don't see any way that Smith goes in the top 6 ... too many character concerns that teams are shying away from ...

Barwin is not a bad pick, but I certainly wouldn't take him over Vontae or Hakeem Nicks.

NE always surprises, but CB & HB are the only positions on the roster that have solid depth going into the draft. An impact player at OLB (pass rush) and at safety are pressing needs.

Andre Smith looks about right where you have him. I wouldn't be surprised if he fell more with the depth at OT this year. Maybe if he had worn that sexy blue bra/thong combo someone has in their sig he would still be a lock for the top 10. http://www.cvreefers.org/images/smilies/puke2.gif

Raji failed a drug test ... didn't hurt Calvin's stock or Charles Rogers' stock ... Raji is far and away the best DT in this draft(and a relatively weak DT draft) so -- it shouldn't affect him too much ...

i can do that too:
Andre left the combine after fulfilling his requirements so he could meet with a trainer to prepare for his pro day...the ALLEGATIONS that he met with an agent has already been resolved and they are just that ALLEGATIONS....ngata was considered lazy and it didnt hurt his stock...andre is by far the best o.t. in this draft so these so called "concerns" arent enough to put inferior players in front of him.

see how that works

darius butler over vontae davis? noooo thank you.... i really dont think the patriots will address the CB position late second to third area....

Don't really like that first round for the Eagles. Britt is a bit of a reach there, and Beatty could be a reach as well. But in this scenario, I could see at least one of those being likely. I think Moreno would be better value than either pick, whether it be 21 or 28, and is the perfect fit in our offense. It just seems to me you have a few reaches in the end of the first. I like Hood, but I doubt he reaches the first round, same with a few other guys, but thats just an example.

It may just be me, but do you ever have anything nice to say? Every single post of yours that I've seen is either condescending, sarcastic, or just plain mean. I don't know if I'm missing the posts where you aren't acting like a jerk to people or what, but if you're trying to play the internet tough guy it isn't impressing anyone.

I would take a wager with you that Andre Smith will not go #6 overall ... infact -- you seem to be the only person that thinks he will here ... and -- the Bengals have put more of an emphasis on character after all of their pass issues, there's no way they take him(IMO) ...

1) your probably right because he will go top 5.
2) mayock has him going #6 in his latest mock.

Bengals --> Raiders --> Jaguars all in a row . . . clearly there's a chance Smith goes 6, 7 or 8. One of these 3 teams with questionable behavior amongst players and poor draft/FA choice historically could easily repeat that type of mistake.

Honestly, the bickering over Smith's draft spot has gone to a thread crapping level at this point. Any chance we can put an end to it now? Please?

Not a fan of CB in the 1st rd to the Pats. Too many other pressing needs.
OT, WR or OLB in the 1st. While grabbing a S and the others in the 2nd.

great Jets pick

SRogers92
04-07-2009, 07:54 AM
I'm sorry, but -- I can easily see the Patriots going CB in the first round ... sure -- they have other needs, but at LB they have talent(Mayo, Adalius Thomas, Bruschi), but -- have barely one starting calibur CB ... Deltha O'neal is horrible, Ellis Hobbs is bad, and they went out and signed Leigh Bodden to a one year deal and Shawn Springs who is borderline retirement age ... they have no youth/upside at CB ... even if Bodden pans out, he'll demand huge money next year and could walk then they are left with the same garbage at CB they have now ...

They could go a variety of ways, but -- this draft is jam packed with "tweeners" and I think they can find a great 34 OLB in the 2nd Round considering their pick is near the top of Round 2, meanwhile, they aren't going to find a premier CB in Round 2, probably ...
