This thread is about posting stories from the olden days of NFLDC. The "olden days" doesnt refer to the old board, just events that happened a long time ago. I'll start.

One of the first, if not the first thread I made was entitled "I would like to debate evolution with somebody." After a page or two of posts, a mod came in and said something along the lines of "I am disappointed of all of you. Not one of you reported this thread. I'm putting you all on my watch list." I wonder if that mod is still around.

Back in the day, the random discussion thread was funny because people didn't come in and try to ruin it. Back in the day, 3 people (Wingy, ERU, and I, along with Creek sometimes) used to be able to have reasonable conversations in a thread, because people actually thought before they posted and didn't rush in to post as soon as they saw something new.

Sorry, my little rant. I guess I'm in a bad mood tonight.

Some random old thing that was brought up today, the "what do you like/dislike/are indifferent" about threads were very cool.

Where's Ward, 4U, and 51 one at? Us four are some of the pioneers of this forum.

Back in the day we had about 3 topics started per day, and our highest person was maybe at what, 300 posts at the time. Oh how this site has grown.

And actually, I joined 2 months earlier than what my username says. I had a different name at the time (jtstriker15) and I forgot my password, so I had to create a different username, haha. And actually, I have about 100 more posts too then, whoot!

I also remember emailing Scott and asking him why the Bears weren't thinking about taking Terrell Suggs at #5 before we traded down. That was before this forum was started too.

I almost wanna say it was called the "name game" but i'm positive thats not correct. Anyways it was about 180 pages long and got locked and stickied for being the biggest thread in nfldc history...(later become overcome when the cowboys fans finally got their own thread.)

But it went something like this.

Poster A: Jason Garrett (former qb)
Poster B: Garrett Anderson (dodger player)
Poster C: Courtney Anderson (raider TE)

and it went on and on...I think the is the most important thread in nfldc history...but noone ever talks about it.

I think there is one thread that really deserves to be mentioned when talking about the past...but never gets brought up. I'm talking super old school here...like the very beginning.

Poster C: Courtney Anderson (raider TE)

and it went on and on...I think the is the most important thread in nfldc history...but noone ever talks about it.

i do remember that thread (although i may have still been lurking). i don't think many people back in the day want to admit they were post whores like new users are now (or were, pre-rep).

My first post was asking for a Ramonce Taylor/Jamaal Charles sig, Xonraider made it for me :)

I remember my first post were totally irrelevent and meaningless. Wait...they still are. =\

I should bring back my Jessica Alba sig, people won't read my post...but at least they'll pay attention.

My first post on JK3 was a joke mock, I don't remember anything except giving the Lions a WR (The obvious one) and everyone had the Bills taking a NT, so I gave them the fattest player in the draft, he weighed like 340, I don't remember the name.

My first post on Jetsfan3 was bashing Chuck Norris.

I made a thread for 1000 posts that was awesome until D-Unit shut it down. I wrote all my shout outs and some guys thought it was a suicide note.

I was the last one to do a post count thread, and it wasn't even for 20. For 20 I did make a post though, which someone saved for me....

I don't remember my first post. I have become much more knowledgable since that time, though. I was stupid...

I remember I didn't start posting until a few moths after I joined. I started posting in Septermebr '05.

The earliest post I could find. (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/forum/showthread.php?t=72)

I did mine, but it only went back to the Super Bowl. Not great depth, lol.

I remember once someone made a count to 10,000 thread, and that said "1" then SARF came in and said "10,000" and locked the thread. SARF is great.

It was snuff, and it was awesome.

Pretty recent, actually.

It was at the same time, and I only made it to the 1000 mark because I had like 100 posts in that thread.

I remember that I attempted to get into as many arguments as possible, and was usually blinded by my own rage and couldnt comprehend what they were posting, which led to me once apologizing to a certain poster the day after the argument.
