One of the things I love to laugh about Eyeshield is how your average American is bigger, stronger and faster than half the people on that team. I used to wonder a couple of years ago what would happen if Walter Thomas (if anyone remembers Walter Thomas) decided to play football in Japan. That would be hilarious.

Its cartoon network. They're going to edit that stuff out. Hence, Outlaw Star having 25 episodes where every other series goes on a multiple of 13. There were 26 episodes of Outlaw Star, they just couldn't show one.

Btw, IMO

Tenchi Muyo: Good
Tenchi Universe: Good
Tenchi in Tokyo: Terrible
Tenchi Muyo GXP: Good

the Soul Eater Anime had the worst ending on earth! But it is amazing still.

One Piece has maybe one of the best Mangas. There is more in each issue than Bleach and Naruto combined. Bleach Mangas have too many wasted frames.

Naruto Shippuden,

I am a big Bleach fan, reason why it turned to **** are because they want to make it keep going for ever, thats why it has ******** ass fillers. Instead of going along with the manga they decided to make up a whole season of fillers the Bontuo arc. Then when they get to the good **** the **** it up, like Kenpachi's fight with number 4, in 2 episodes it could have been the best fight ever. Instead the stretch it to 6....and then they start more fillers.

I just want it to end, so someone can remaster it.

the problem is the manga has awful awful awful pacing

like it takes 4 chapters for one attack

so the anime has to make stuff up

just finished elfen lied and it was awesome, although I dislike the fact that the last thing we see from the dude running the facilitate is him pulling his wig off and saying that things have only begun. it just doesn't feel right that a series would end with the key villain just sort of stating that everything up to that point was insignificant and the real story was just beginning. it was a good story and the violence was almost satisfying, but I just felt like it could've been wrapped up better.

I'm not much of an anime fan, but a I've caught a few quality things here and there. I watched and enjoyed some Gundam and DBZ when I was growing up. Cowboy Bebop is, of course, an undeniable classic. FLCL is totally awesome. Ghost in the Shell can either be horribly convoluted or awesome. Of course, any movie by Hayao Miyazaki is worth watching and I really enjoyed that Satoshi Kon film Paprika that came out a couple years ago.

They did wrap somethings up I just couldn't help feeling like they wanted to do more, or were setting themselves up to go further and just didn't. *shrug*

Watched most of these:

Pandora Hearts - Got bored after 5 minutes, I'll finish it later.
FMA - Amazing, animation is top quality and its faithful to the manga.
07-Ghost(May drop if it sucks) - Top gun in space. Bleh animation, there was a badass chase scene at the end though.
K-ON - Moe guitars. In terms of Kyoto animation its between Lucky Star and Haruhi in quality. Definitely an acquired taste.
Shangri-La - Liscensed.
Asura Cryin’ - Amazing. Great animation contains Ghosts, Lesbians, Mafia, Gun battles, lesbians, and mecha. Oh and supernatural powers that create fire bombs.
Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~: Average and predictable. Bleh animation, seems like something from the mid 90s.

I read the writers wanted to do a third one and
If Lelouch got immortality from his father when he killed him he could've become R.R. (thus the R2 in the title) and be the guy driving the cart that C.C. is lying on at the end of season two.

So IMO there's room in the plot for a third season and if the guys behind are interested in doing it I could certainly see them going for it, maybe another 8 or ten years down the line to show the world Zero created?

yeah, i guess but I felt it was all wrapped up at the end with no open ending. If they do another season, it should be like 2 or 3 OVA. I feel they could end up ruining it, or just making it drag on like DBZ

Since you have seen Kenshin I would definitely recommend the next thing you watch to be Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen aka Samurai X. It is the prequel to Kenshin, released after Kenshin finished. It is only a 4 episode OVA but it is very, very (very) good.

If youre looking for more of a medieval swordplay type anime, try Claymore. Claymore is awesome. Though it really leaves you badly wanting a 2nd season, more so than most animes.

If youre looking for a mecha style anime try Rah'Xephon. has a lot of similarities to Evangelion, but I think it has a stronger overall storyline and is a more enjoyable series to watch.

So I jsut finished Gundam 00, jesus I have too much free time on my hands, and it was good. Not on par with Eva or Code Geass when it comes to awesome mecha, but a good show and I'll watch the movie. I guess I'm going to try to finish Rahxephon now, although I really haven't been that enamored with the first dozen or so episodes.

It's worth a watch, I'm still pretty iffy on it, it didn't go the top gun in space route I expected it to, which is good, but it still looks to be pretty average.

its just not interesting and it gives off a weird vibe. Its like all religiony, and its so slow.

If they speed it up and used something else in place of the religion background/sub plot, it might be cool.

But yeah, I'm getting kind of close to dropping this.

So I've been watching Ghost-07 over the past few days, got dick to do with my car in the shop and waiting to hear back after some job interviews, and I've got to say I'm interested to see where they go with the rest of the season. They've left a lot unanswered which might confuse/annoy some people but if you can deal with being in the dark on a lot of things it's pretty good.

BTW Just looked at the anime plot generator and it came up with the best plot ever, hot kabuki actors order a nuclear attack on perverted mexicans because they're up to no good. Just felt I should share.

Serioulsy the ending the last 3 episodes or 2 I have no idea what happened. And then the back story of the human project what happened to that? To many random lines and stills for me, it just got long and drawn out and boring.

Same, I liked death note, but Light always irked me because he never had a long term plan and for someone who intends to become a god he didn't recognize his own weakness, i.e. his hubris. Also I hated the ending Light had to lose, but for a guy who made it so far on his own brilliance he made a horribly stupid mistake. That and Kira II, can't remember his name, suddenly decides to dis-obey light? WTF kind of sense does that make.

I have two animes I haven't seen on my hd, Eureka Seven and Ergo Proxy. Which should I watch first?

I've seen all 2 seasons of Eureka and about 15-16 eps of Ergo and I would recommend Eureka. Ergo moves a bit slower but is pretty good. Its just I got hooked rather quickly on Eureka and had a lot of fun with the show.

Worth maybe a quick skim because if it's done really well it could be not bad, but based on the story they'd have to really nail it for it not become painful.

Did you watch season 1? The animation quality went from 'ok' to 'Shaft on a bad day' at about ep 7. Ruined everything for me.

I still enjoy Dragon Ball. I haven't had time in a while to just set back and watch a new anime series. A lot of the cultural tropes really irk me more than they used to. I'm not sure why. They just seem expected now in a lot of the stories regardless of what the genre actually is for the specific anime. But it is what it is.

I haven't watched Cowboy Bebop in a long time. The entire series. I'd like to do that again. That was one of my favorite shows in the early 2000's, and the English dubbing wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Although this time around I'd like to see the original Japanese version.

That reminds me, I would love to get the Dragon Box, which has been out for two years. It's basically the hardcore original Japanese version of Dragon Ball in it's entirety (Dragon Ball Z side of the series I should say). But the Dragon Box volumes had a limited run and they are skyrocketing on eBay. I have the original manga of the entire series which is nice because there isn't any filler within the context of the story, but the original BGM music is priceless and fits the show so well, combined with the original voice actors for the show. Maybe one day once I have enough money.

Watch dragonball Kia then

You mean Dragon Ball Kai? I tried watching the first couple of episodes and there was still some unnecessary filler that turned me off. Really I wasn't a fan of the changes. I've come to terms that the original anime of Dragon Ball is what it is and it's good in it's own way and I prefer it in it's original form which is why I'd like to get my hands on the Dragon Box volumes one day. I'm actually more excited for the brand new Dragon Ball movie being released next year, even though I don't think a new Dragon Ball movie is necessary.

So...did anyone get the Dragon Box? I'm getting it now and it's over 60 gigs. It's basically the entire duration of Dragonball Z in it's original Japanese format. It comes with English subs and audio (if you want to listen to the English subs oy), but not the music. Basically this sums it all up. Nice comment taken from another site from a random source.

This is by far the best Dragon Ball Z torrent I've ever seen, very likely the best ever period due to the fact I'm very confident I have seen all that are worth seeing. The Dragon Boxes are the best quality Dragon Ball Z has ever been released in, I've owned them all in the past and don't see an difference in quality from those dvd sets and the files in this torrent, they are identical to me. DBZ was released on blu ray, but I don't think they even released half of the series before it was cancelled, I can't really comment on the quality of them compared to the Dragon Boxes, but the fact so many episodes were unreleased in that format it seems pretty irrelevant how good or bad the quality of them was. The funimation orange brick season sets of DBZ were ****, they just were, the picture was bright and washed out, whole sections of the picture was cut off in the cropping of 4:3 aspect ratio to 16:9. The dragon boxes were remastered in such a way that it did the legendary series justice, it literally couldn't look any better, while keeping it in 4:3 aspect ratio because of the simple fact it's a 4:3 series and it's not going to enhance the quality any by stretching it out. Took me a total of 80 hours to download this torrent, I would have been fine if it took twice as long because this truly is the best Dragon Ball Z anime torrent on the internet right now, very possible the best there ever will be.

If you are a hardcore Dragon Ball Z purist, you must own/acquire this. It was a limited release, so owning hard copies at this point would be expensive and hard to find each installment since it's been a few years since it's release. Obviously there are other ways. Just saying, keep a lookout.

I'm really digging Soul Eater on Toonami. I've seen all of the episodes of Bleach, but they were the english-subbed Japanese ones, so watching the episodes with the english voice actors has been great.

I never got into Naruto or One Piece, but I think they've been solid between Bleach and Soul Eater. I wish they wouldn't have taken Tenchi Muyo GP off when they added shows. I would have much rather lost Symbiotic Titan or Thundercats, but whatev. I'd love it if they added Trigun and Gundam Wing eventually. Bebop is a classic, FMA: Brotherhood is great, and a full hour of Inuyasha makes my Inuyasha fandom tingle. Eureka 7 and IGPX are just ok for me.

The first season of Yugioh has been on repeat on Nicktoons (and episodes of YGO: Zexal air on the weekends), but I haven't seen any episodes of DBZ Kai lately, let alone any new ones. Are they working on the Majin Buu saga? The good news is that they're about to start airing the original season of Digimon weeknights at 8 on Nicktoons too. Yugioh and Digimon? So disappointing. Neither of the main characters are as interesting as Lulu or Suzaku. And while the power the kid's given is interesting it didn't lend itself as easily to the moral anguish of Lulu's geass so when he went "villain" it was far less compelling and felt much more forced. All in all it just made me want to rewatch code geass and forget about it.

Wasn't aware this thread existed.

I haven't been into chinese cartoons for a good while now, but I picked up Berserk on a strong recommendation from someone recently. I can honestly say it may be one of my favorite things ever. The wonderfully terrifying art style, somber tone, and plot really just hit all the right spots for me. I read the entire series in just a few days time. It's a shame that it's slowed down to a crawl in recent years. I really just couldn't get enough of it. I'm looking getting the movies soon, although I've heard some mixed things about them.

Anyway, that little random binge led me to try out Attack on Titan as I heard it's along similar lines. I think I'm halfway through at the moment and I like it so far....but it's not scratching quite the same itch. It's still a cool show though. Really weird in some interesting ways.
