So i was just wondering, how many people are going to be watching the draft by themselves. I am only because everyone i know doesn't understand why it's so exciting(then i slap them in the face and tell them to go to draftcountdown.com haha) but seriously do you guys think it's better to watch by yourself or with other people.

It's a great excuse to have a few beers with some friends. If you have friends that are interested enough, that is.
I plan to DVR day one & watch it Sunday morning before day 2 starts. No commercials FTW!

I'll try to get my hands on a live stream, but it's probably just going to be ticker-watching for me. Kinda blows, but what can a guy do?
Don't NFLN provide a live stream for the draft? I know they did it last year... I was going to rely on them again this year. If not, off to hooters!

If you can't find a live stream (maybe NFL.com has something up), perhaps ESPN Radio? That's if you want to listen to them, I guess.
But I recall they did cover the Draft in the past, although I haven't a clue as to how their coverage goes.

I'd check justin.tv on draft day, theyre always running stuff on their. They got independent channels you can check out.

I might watch it by myself.
Not many people I know find as much interest in it as I do.

my friends lose interest after the 1st round so I usually end up watching the rest by myself

For me and my friends, it a big 'ol shindig complete with badass breakfast (Which used to happen right before the draft, but now with the time moving back is about 4 hours before the draft starts) and junkfood galore.

NFL.com will have a live stream: http://www.nfl.com/draft/2009/live/landing
I don't have a TV and no one I know cares about the draft as much as I do, so I'll be watching it alone. I'll probably be in the IRC during because it was nuts last year.

I have zero friends that are into the draft, and 1 friend that even likes football and hes a Packer fan. (Im a Bear fan) Not a huge deal, kinda cool to go back and forth with him.
I like watching it alone though, gives me the freedom to freak out w/o feeling selfconscious lol. My family humors me, (God bless them, they try) so I end up getting a few calls asking how good our picks are. Thats enough for me.
Golly I cant wait!

I usually watch it alone, but sometimes my dad will watch like the top 5. Then he gets bored and goes to get some food. Then I'm left to watch it alone for the rest of the day haha
I need to find some people around here that love the draft as much as me...

I'm guessing over 9000 people.

i watch it alone then go to (this is for you addict) this chat window thing where everyone talks from the forum. Since the the forum get major traffic that day.
I think less people are going to hit this site this year than last year, not a great draft this year.

I usually watch it with someone. Maybe CCB will be down to blaze and watch it. The first day at least.

Draft Day is essentially my Christmas. I prefer not to be around anyone, have my door closed to my room - locked into the TV, logged on NFLDC & mIRC and get it poppin'.
However, this year my girlfriend will be home with me but I already forewarned her not to mess with me on draft weekend. It's MY day, damnit.

I usually watch it with the wife... she tends to fade out after the 1st round though. I feel pretty lucky that she is really into football. :)
There is always a strong chance that a friend or my bro-in-law will swing through for a bit, too.

I think you're right ;)
I'll probably just call up a former poster here, Billingsley26, and watch it with him this time around. Surprisingly, a few of my buddies are interested in the draft and most are at least willing to check out the first round. I got finals the following week though, which sucks.

Same. We also watch it with his friend at his house. We have been doing it since 2001 or so. Its tradition.
Like some people have said most of my friends don't understand why the draft is so fun to watch and I just get weird looks when I'm talking about the draft.

I will not be the only one in the room but I will be the only one watching.
She will grow bored and start trying to talk to me. I will then send her to her section (kitchen) and have her prepare food.
haha yea right. but i can dream.

Me and my buddies play a drinking game for the first and second rounds. There are seven of us, and we rotate guessing the picks. You get the pick wrong, you take a shot. Its a good time.

Yeah, I'm up for that most likely, maybe some basketball before it starts?
