Do you think Det will have the first pick signed before the draft?

I think they learned their lesson from the raiders in 07

i think they will try, of course, but I just have a feeling it'll have to wait until after the draft is over, though it may happen soon after the draft, unlike what happened with Russel.

I think they will. Even if it means settling for Aaron Curry.

I agree. I think it should be the status quo to have person signed before the draft. It can only help the development of that prospect. I don't see how it hurts the prospect. The team, maybe since htye will settle for their 2-3 option if their number 1 doesn't sign before.

I doubt it... I think Tom Condon has both Jason Smith and Matthew Stafford, so I doubt the deal gets done before the draft.

Drafting a linebacker instead a quarterback because you didn't want to pay a little bit more money would be sad. Taking Curry because you think he's much better than Stafford/Sanchez/Smith is a different story.

I think they'll get Stafford signed the night before.
