I'm gonna go ahead and get this outta the way since it might be asked: Sam Bradford will not be a Senior next year. He will be a redshirt junior. That's why he's not there.

Scott, off the top of your head, who would be comparisons for Tim Tebow, Sam Bradford, and Colt McCoy?

I would think a few of the underclassmen who would get into that top tier discussion would be:

Eric Berry
Brian Bulaga
Sam Bradford
Jevan Snead

Hardy needs to stay healthy, if he can manage to play his whole senior year he could be an elite prospect. The boot is off his foot from his surgery but he is still recovering, he has gotten huge in the upper body since his surgery. He claims to be repping 450 now.

I think that's because of so many of the top junior CBs came out this year, like Moore, Smith, Davis, Byrd, Allen, Munnerlyn, etc.

I don't rank QBs. They are impossible to evaluate and project and there is no way to rank a potential successful QB next to a potential successful OL for example. QBs should always be ranked separately from the other positions IMO.

Like Putting Josh Freeman at 30. That's just stupid. He's either a top prospect for you, top 5 or 6, or he's a late-round project. There's no such thing as a first round QB who's actual pro career justifies a #30 ranking. It's just a boom or bust spot. Either you are a successful pro QB or you're not.

Warren's got the tools. He looked like he was on the fast track to stardom as a frosh.

Qbs are people too:) I think if you're going to grade them you have to rank them.

Scott, where do you view OT Adam Ulatoski at the moment as a prospect?

I love him as a Longhorn player, but think that he needs to add strength and bulk to be a starter in the NFL. I COULD BE WAY OFF OF COURSE,I'M NOT A SCOUT..... but Big U is pretty good in pass blocking and if I had to guess, I'd say he is a late 1st early 2nd round pick. I've heard OT Jonathan Scott comparison been thrown around with Ulatoski. I think he could really help his draft stock with a really strong Sr. year.

Im slightly cautious with herzlich cuz he played behind those two monsters at DTackle. But to answer your question, based on how I rate them (take it for what its worth) I have a small but very real gap between them. Weatherspoon is more insainly solid(laurinaitis) than impressive(maualuga). Herzlich is just more impressive and looks better basicly doing the same as weatherspoon.

Gresham will be a huge bust. He's successful in college because he's big and fast in a straight line, but he doesn't have any burst. He won't get open against NFL defenders and his YAC skills won't translate.

Dez Bryant and Sam Bradford are the top prospects for the 2010 draft.

Jonathan Dwyer and Stafon Johnson are the top two RBs. Spiller is good, but he probably doesn't have the body to be an every down guy.

I actually think Raji and Brace probably knocked Herzlich's sack total down a bit. B.C. used him more as a zone cover guy (which he is great at). He'll no doubt be next years favorite at the OLB position.

Don Vito

I think Dez Bryant's stock will have dropped by this time next year.

I don't think he's going to blaze a 40, which might not matter if you're Crabtree, but he doesn't have that talent. He's coming from the spread, which a lot of people will knock. There are bound to be a few receivers that are going to break out and boost their stock...

I see him being more of a late first guy when it's all said and done. I know it's early, but that's the great part about it. No one will remember I said this if I'm wrong :)

Good thing there's no such thing as an every-down guy anymore.

And Spiller:

A) isn't small at all.
B) has missed one game in three years.

The only reason you're saying that is because he shared carries with Davis. Good thing for him is that everyone shares carries in the NFL.

He's also easily better than Stafon Johnson and that's not even close. I think he's better than Dwyer too but at least that's a conversation you could have...

No, the reason I'm saying it is because he lacks the bulk and base strength of a typical starting NFL tailback. He's what? 5'11" 200 pounds? That's not conventional featured back size. Spiller would work best in a committee role like Chris Johnson.

He's also easily better than Stafon Johnson and that's not even close.

Apples to oranges. Spiller is more dynamic and explosive. Johnson is more of a traditional three down runner. He has better size and power. If he wasn't splitting time because of USC politics, the rest of the country would know how good he is. He's better than most of the backs ranked above him (Murray, Brown, Blount, etc) and he'll have a better pro career.

Scott, any thoughts on Virginia Tech. CB Stephan Virgil? Steps into the boundary cornerback position that Macho Harris, Brandon Flowers, Jimmy Williams, DeAngelo Hall, and Eric Green have played previously. Six interceptions last season.

Kam Chancellor and Sergio Render are probably our top senior prospects next season, but I think Virgil has a chance to go in round two or three.
