wow what a performance at the proday, this guy solidified himself as my choice for #10 look at this.
291 lbs and ran a 4.71 thats right around Mario and Peppers 40's and is around the same size and has a great motor

the Reggie Nelson pro day one raised a few FS thoughts in my mind but this straght out burried them again
Carricker at #10
FS and OT in round 2 from some type of Shaub trade doesnt seem that rediculous now

Wow! What a suprise that everyone's numbers went up! It must just be an odd coincidence that his proday at Nebraska was so great, compaired to the combine.

Not really, he was great at the combine having a better time than most of the LB's in the short shuffle and the best of the DE's, putting up 245 lb 33 times and looking great in drills.

The 40 time was the only slight let down at 4.9 but at 296lbs even that isnt really important for DE's. Then for the pro day he shed 5lbs and ran very well. It significant for me because i new he had the power and the quickess for the 4/3 it was just the 40 time that made him see like a 3/4 guy in a few peoples eyes again

He is definitely impressive. If we took him at #10 I wouldn't complain.

Everyone's time improves at Pro Days. I think it has something to do with the track...VT's times are inflated by alot, and I wont be surprised if its true with other colleges too.

VT D Hall: 4.15 Combine D Hall: 4.34
UF Nelson: 4.35 Combine Nelson: 4.5
NE Carriker: 4.71 Combine Carriker: 4.8-4.9

VTs times aren't really that inflated. But Nelson ran on GRASS...no track, so his 4.35 is legit.

Yeah once I saw that it was on grass I was stunned.

Yeah me too. VT does have a 'fast track' but look at how fast their guys are in the NFL anyway, it really does translate.
