I would scream and giggle girlishly all day if we some how landed Raji and Orakpo. Gosselin is pretty good to.

There is hope

Let's just say I hope Rick is on the right track again this year because we have a lot of similar picks. By the way, look for my mock in the morning. I officially submitted it to the contest at 10pm central but still have to write out a bunch of analysis.

He has the NE teams needs as DT, DE, QB and TE... WRONG!

Mark Sanchez sliding all the way to #13. No chance in hell.

PS-Not a fan of the Cushing pick for SD.

I dont see how that would be so surprising considering that 10 days ago, he wasnt a likely top 10 pick. I mean, seriously, what's changed?

- Matt Stafford is gone at #1 and Sanchez is the best QB available from #2 onward
- Many teams are being reported as high on Sanchez, unlike earlier, thus added attention in mocks
- Teams are willing to trade up for Sanchez
- Fantastic Pro Day, blowing away teams in interviews, big media blitz

Don't forget, there's probably a big lag time between the way WE understand the draft and what the GMs are thinking. Might be that the GMs have been high on Sanchez all along and we're just starting to hear about it. Could be the same way for Tyson Jackson.

I bet the Dolphins' fans are just giddy over the Kruger pick.

I could see Sanchez fall out of the top 10, it's not unrealistic at all. Yeah he's the number two, but there's a lot of DL and OL talent ahead of him, and a few teams needing WR. If SF passes on him for a LT because they believe in Hill, and Jacksonville passes him up to get a receiver or tackle, Sanchez falling isn't just possible, it's very likely.

Don't forget that Sanchez has a big hype factor at this point. He was a 10-20 guy to begin with, it woudn't be that incredible to see him go there when all is said and done.

Regarding Gosselin's draft: it's usually solid. Speaking for the lions: I doubt they pass on Maualuga for Pettigrew, but it could happen I guess.

I'm fine with Beanie Wells at 27, but if Jerry made it all the way past 24 and then the Pats took him I would know that sticking it to the Colts is more important to Belichick than winning SBs. That said I don't think that will happen.

If Malcolm Jenkins is off the board, Chris Wells will be a Saint.

Bet.

You also presented the counter argument as the opposite is just as true; how many people thought Brady Quinn was a near-guaranteed top 10-15 selection?
