Coming from a Lions fan who's seen some really bad drafts, my sympathies brother. When your team takes a player in the second round who doesn't even appear on Scott's rankings, that's a rough one.

Why didnt the cowboys pick?

Dallas traded its first-, third-, and sixth-round selections (20th, 82nd, and 192nd overall, respectively) to Detroit for wide receiver Roy Williams and a seventh-round selection (210th overall).

Dallas traded its second-round selection (51st overall) to Buffalo for their third-round selection (75th overall) and a fourth-round selection (110th overall).

Patriots spent a second round pick on Scott's #225 player. :(

Overall I was not happy with New England's draft at all. Mainly because they failed to draft even a single linebacker with FOUR second round picks, passing on Rey Maualuga three times and Everette Brown five times.

Let's do it! Kegs it is. I'll get one of Keystone for the kids in high school. The ones old enough to drink, of course! haha. ;)

I REALLY thought Maualuga would be a monster in NE.

But if Bellichick passed on him three times, you know what that means...

Maualuga=bust

DHB's 4.3 speed and Russell's rocket arm is a perfect fit but at 7 it just makes no sense

You sure it aint Bellichick that had the problem?.

Why are the Raiders the only team in the NFL who drafts like they were an NBA team? I mean sure Michael Mitchell is big, strong and fly, but seriously Al? Da **** man, I mean da ****.?

Maybe. He passed on Everette Brown five times too. :( I also find it hard to believe Belichick really ranked Sebastian Vollmer as the #7 offensive tackle. Personally I had him at #13 and a fifth round pick, and that was being generous, I thought.

It's possible, but it's a big risk, and in the top ten? Why couldn't they have traded back with a team that wanted Monroe? Dropping into the early to mid teens they still would've had a shot at him while adding picks. I just feel like he was over-drafted with how far from being a true legit number one he is.

I was just going cheap on the high school kids. I'd get myself some Blue Moon without a doubt and pick up some quality for the older members.

This is spot on. It's not bad for the Raiders to take DHB, but they reached on him, especially considering both Crabtree and Maclin were on the board. I do think it could work out to some extent but I find it hard to imagine DHB being better than either one of those guys. I think Hakeem Nicks will also end up being better than DHB being the #1 receiver for Eli Manning in a good situation in New York.

I cant believe I missed the best pick. I was waiting until the Texans 2nd rounder to run out and go get some Sonic. I left right at the opportunity to laugh at the selection of Michael Mitchell. :(

DHB is the lovechild of Troy Williamson and Ted Ginn.

In all seriousness, it's a huge reach. HUGE. But that said if they wanted him and could get a trade partner, what can you do?

The thing is if we was their #1 WR and no one wanted to trade up then why would they take Crabtree just because every other team has him ranked above. They didn't want to trade past 13-15 because there were rumors that teams like the Giants wanted to move up for him, so they took there guy. Not great value in the general scheme of the draft, but if they think he's the top guy, then you can't fault them.

I think the Raiders and the Chiefs need to forget their rivalry and start a support group.

In all seriousness WR is just one of those positions where your scheme and your coaching staff can value completely different things. I love me some DHB and can totally see why the Raiders thought he was the best for them and if they couldnt trade back they might as well pull the trigger.

I'm getting word that Jerry is signing every OLB in UDFA.
