I really didn't wanna make this thread, but I couldn't find out the answer.

How much did Pioli have to do with the Patriots draft-decisions in past years?

A fair amount. Belichick ultimately had the final say but some picks had Pioli's fingerprints on them. They took J. Hairston out of Central Connecticut a few years ago. It was a throwaway pick (Patriots are notorious for drafting numerous players who have no impact whatsoever in later rounds), but that was definitely one Pioli hand-chose (he went to the school.)

No one really knows but he definately had some of input

Well do you guys think that with Pioli gone, New England's drafting gets weaker?

Do we nullify that "don't worry, they know what they're doing" argument from the past couple years?

Belicheck knows what he is doing so their drafts should not get weaker.

Based off their drafting today I'd still say they know what they are doing.

I like New Englands draft, sure they could use a linebacker, but someone like Phillip HUnt int he third to battle for one of the OLB spots and Jason WIlliams in the Fourth to compete for an ILB spot would give them good young depth there, while they really went to town on their secondary and re-inforced their lines, which is never a bad decision.
