Michael Johnson is definitely worth a pick up at this point. His talent is immense. Definitely worth the gamble.

Just my opinion, but Chase Coffman.

I've been riding his balls all year, not gonna stop now...

Anyone know if Michael Johnson can play 34 end? I think he might be too tall for LB so I'm not sure where he can play besides 43 end.

Iglesius could be an interesting WR.....

Off the top of my head, some guys I was surprised to see left were:

Derrick Williams
Tight ends (James Casey, Shawn Nelson(?), Chase Coffman)
Michael Johnson
Rashad Johnson

I would actually be happy with that, minus Michael Mitchell of course.

I think it's a possibility. We are talking about a guy with freakish athleticism and a big frame. Since he's about 6'7", I think he could reasonably bulk up to 280 or 290 without losing too much athleticism. It's more a question of whether he wants to or not though. I do think in a 3-4 his best fit is at OLB.

Ramses Barden is someone to keep an eye on. Wouldn't be surprised to see someone like the eagles (small receivers) spend a pick on him for his redzone threat.

I think (or at least hope) that the eagles will jump on one of the remaining TEs. They could fill both the TE need (MUCH bigger need right now than WR with the Maclin pick) and they could be good redzone guys as well.

The Eagles have a big WR. They just never use him.

TE is a bigger need for the eagles, was just using it as an example of teams that would want Barden for redzone threat. Like the bills last year (evans and Parrish) drafting Hardy.

Can't really think of any other teams that are severely undersized at WR.

If the Eagles need a redzone receiver, they should stick with Missouri guys and take Chase Coffman.

Watch for Louis Murphy from Florida. He didn't play in a pro-style offense and he was second-fiddle to Percy Harvin, but he has the best size/speed combo in the draft this side of DHB.

Duke Robinson, very underrated IMO, couldve seen him go early 2nd round

ok we'll see, hes a nasty runblocker, similar to that guy from Tampa

IMO there is absolutely no way Micheal Johnson would be able to play 3-4 DE (Speaking for the Steeler's system, not sure on others). He's not strong enough. He's not good enough to play the run very well in 4-3 and would have to work at being a full time 4-3 DE, let alone a 5 tech. With his athleticism his best fit would be as a OLB in the 3-4.

I'd have to go with DJ Moore, Rashad Johnson, Michael Johnson, Jarron Gilbert, Meredith, Kropog, Duke, Nelson, Cook. I think all of those guys, could very easily have went in the 2nd round.

Totally forgot about him...I liked him as a 2nd rounder. Will make a good value pick for someone

Yeah, I was hoping for Sidbury Jr. over Brown, but I still think Brown will turn out pretty good. Surprised to see D.J. Moore, Michael Johnson, and Jarron Gilbert among others drop out of the 2nd as well.

Would you guys take Michael Johnson or Lawrence Sidbury? IDK Johnson's lack of heart kind of scares me.

Mr. Hero
04-26-2009, 12:28 AM
I would take Sidbury over Hunt over Johnson.

I thought Chip Vaughn and Ramses Barden had the talent to be second rounders and want the giants to somehow draft both in the third.

the decider13

I would take Sidbury no doubt...Johnson has great potential, but there is a reason he slipped out of the 2nd. Even Al Davis wouldn't grab him.

If Johnson fits in whatever scheme being run, hell yeah take the gamble. Especially if there's some good depth and can be worked in with veterans.

meh, his problem isn't fitting a scheme it's giving a damn about football. I'm a big Michael Johnson hater just because I get eddy curry type vibes from him.
