i could not agree more- family guy is ridiculously stupid. It used to b funny, original and creative but now its the stupidest thing. Everything is so random and nothing relates. South Park's episode about how manatees write the episodes was the funniest thing i think i had ever seen.
The Simpson's may b is dying a little but i still find it very funny. It revolutionized cartoons- it made them satirical and outrageously funny in a new context. South Park's recent seasons i think have been quite poor compared to what it used to be. It's too political these days- chef is gone, mr garrison and mr macky basically dont have roles in it. It used to just b stupid humor about foul mouted kids but its def steered away from that alittle, but i love how they continue to produce great ideas all togther.

They could get corny at times with their messages. I watch Southpark for humor, I sometimes get annoyed when they try to teach everyone a life lesson. Get over yourselves South Park. You don't have all the answers yourselves.

The Simpsons has the best writing. They say to understand one Simpsons episode, you must watch it 3 times to catch all the hidden jokes. They have alot of hidden jokes intrenched in suttle ways, embedded in the scenery, word play, etc. The Simpson's writing is the best.

Plus Southpark is too heavily based on current events. Their episodes are funnier when current, if you go back and watch some old episodes, theyre not as funny because they were based on events at the time that are outdated now.

Don't get me wrong, I love Southpark. But the Simpsons is the best.

The old Simpsons is easily the best. But the past 2-3 years they have been hurting for material. It is no where near as funny as it used to be. Southpark will be able to continue at a high level for the exact reason that they use current events. I love both of them. Family Guy is only remotely funny when you are inebriated, and then it is the best of the bunch. You don't need to follow the story to get the jokes.

I thought it was hilarious how every time there was a pooping scene they made sure to announce that this is an Emmy awarding winning show. A subtle way of showing what America has came too and how much Trey and Matt value their award.

i took it as a parody of barry bonds breaking the HR record. I could be wrong, but everybody was fighting over technicallities, and the old record holder used a jumbo tron to speak to the new record holder...and the constant debate over which record counted.
