Should the Pats target de-tagged Leroy Hill?

26 years old, OLB who can get after the QB...I would prefer this over stop-gap solution Jason Taylor (who isn't even that good anymore, he dissapointed for the Redskins).

If his price tag is somewhat reasonable.

As much as I would love to have Hill on the team, it seems pretty clear that the last thing this team wants to do is shell out the dough right now. We're saving up for our big free agents we need to re-sign after next season.

i don't doubt you, but why not? too much of a diva or is it more of his role?

More of his role in the 3-4 scheme. I love him but he won't fit.

Not a good fit in the 3-4. Doesn't have the right kind of size or athletic ability. The thought of picking up a pass rushing OLB is great, but I don't think Hill is that guy.

No. Waste of $.

I think Hill would probably project inside if he played in a 3-4, but I doubt we look at him anyways.

Ya, he's an ILB in a 3-4. Really like McKenzie there, and they've got other options working for them in Bruschi, Alexander, Guyton, and Thomas.
