I hear my old teammate is hot on the heels of Enderle for the starting spot. Brian Reader, remember the name.

Didn't realize how tall Kaepernick was. Josh Freeman pt 2?

Vai Taua intrigues me. I'll definitely keep my eye on the kid.

I dunno what to make of Kaepernick. I really like the kid, ever since I caught a late Friday game of Nevada on ESPN360 one night back in '07. The guy was a playmaker. But he has these inexplicable moments of crappiness. Some games, he's terrible. Also, he gets a lot of yardage running the ball, but he's only got a 4.9 forty, last I checked, so I'm wondering: "Is the WAC that slow?"

Taua does look amazing, though.

BTW, Did Ryan Matthews from Fresno graduate? What happened to him?

And is it "Matthews" or "Mathews"?

I'm almost certain he runs faster than a 4.9 or at least he plays faster than a 4.9. I could see him making some strides this season and furthering his potential with a solid year throwing around the ball.

Will we ever know about Taua carrying the whole load. My County-mate Luke Lippencott has been granted 6th year of eligibility, and he's no push over. I watched him since HS. He's a local hero around these parts.. also everyone's baby's daddy.

Colin Kaepernick is such a baller. He just has to hit the weight room.

No we went to the same JC. Same elementary, same middle school, same travel baseball teams, different HS. He went Private(Palma).. Ironically the same school at Lippencott lol and I went Public(Seaside). We finally had one year together in JC. He left to Idaho and I signed to Idaho State.

4.84 was the only time I could find for him, from his Scout profile (http://stanford.scout.com/a.z?s=18&p=8&c=1&nid=1869043). Obviously a high school time and probably not a very accurate one, considering how unheralded he was out of high school, but I would like to know just how fast he really is.

Personally I'd put Kellen Moore at #1. I really like Moore though.

Damn he needs a weight room bad. He is wiry, I though Miami had a skinny qb, in Jacory Harris.

Moore is comparable to Drew Brees. Watch the tape. It's eerie. Size, arm strength, intangibles, production, and overall IT Factor. Don't sleep on Kellen.

EDIT: Plus, the dude eats, sleeps, and breathes football. Dad is a coach, he got legit gamefilm for his 12th birthday, and he is the most productive QB in WA history.

Very good comparison Jballa.

I still say he should be the #1 WAC QB ;) (My late night boredom edit lol)

Ryan Mathews for Fresno St is the number 1 runningback

Colin Kaepernick plays much faster than a 4.9. He is a pretty dangerous guy when he uses his legs. Watch the play at :44 to see a better indication of his speed. He clearly is better than a 4.9:

Huh, small world. I went to Palma, the class right ahead of Reader. I didnt know that he went to Idaho. Good for him, he has a good arm and I'm glad that he is competing.

I guess Luke Lippincott kind of fell off the face of the Earth after that injury. That's unfortunate now that Taua has stepped up.

You went to Palma? That's crazy! You played with Jordan Casas (OUTSTANDING FOOTBALL PLAYER), Kevin Cesario, and all them guys.

Colin Kaepernick has an arm...50 yard pass, and it looked like he wasn't even trying.

Oh they do.. Harris is a slim 185.

So how much weight does Kaepernick need to put on to be at and NFL playing weight?

What is his best case scenario? late 1st-early 2nd or middle round guy

Also, does Nevada ever run from under center or is the entire offense run out of the pistol?

I'm mildly surprised Nathan Enderle isn't a little higher. He really sucked as a freshman, but then so did Matt Stafford. Last year he was pretty good, he improved a lot. Has great size too. Also two years as a starter (21 starts), so assuming he plays for the next two years, he'll come out with good size, a pretty good arm, and around 45 starts.

Personally I'd put Kellen Moore at #1. I really like Moore though.

Moore is a good college QB, but his NFL potential is limited. He hasn't got the height, and his arm strength is not adequate for the NFL.

Yeah Im really good friends with those guys. I went to one of Jordans baseball games a few weeks back and I just went with Kevin to New York for the Draft. If Jordan didn't play baseball he would have been a fun player to watch some more. He was such an athlete, he kept Reader off the field for another year. The team went from a running team to a passing team

6 foot is fine for the NFL (Drew Brees). Don't even start the arm strength thing, sure he isn't Stafford or Russell but who cares. His arm is more then good enough in my opinion. Besides Moore was a RS freshman, We have yet to see his full potential.

I would have to compare Moore to Graham Harrell and Chase Daniel. Look where they went in the draft.

Deonte Jackson should be in the top 3 or 4 of running backs. The guy rushed for 1100+ as a freshman 2 years ago including 99 yards against USC in his first ever college game

Alot of people went to the Jordan's game a couple weeks back. Blake Pacheco played with us at MPC too. I don't know where he's going now.

The only problem with Kellen Moore is his size. Otherwise he would be by far the best QB in the WAC.

I'm gonna try and keep a lot of my personal feelings out of this, but Reader will have the job at Idaho soon. Enderle is about 6 spots to high.
