I haven't been impressed with Gruden in his work with the NFL Network, but maybe him being in the booth for MNF is the best way to get the best out of him. And he replaces Kornheiser, which in itself is an improvement!

I'm glad Korny is leaving. He was worse than Dennis Miller.

This is the best news ever. Gruden rocks, and knows his **** to boot.

I love Kornheiser on PTI, but he really needed to be slapped and told to shut-up half the time ... most of the time. He seemed so out of place in the booth.

Good move for Gruden. I think he is going to do great.

Korhieser gone and Gruden in, very nice.

Everytime I heard Gruden talk I enjoyed him, he sounded knowledgeable but he keeps that edge and wasn't very boring...Either way with Tony leaving I really wouldn't of cared who replaced him, so this is at least an upgrade.

I like the addition of Gruden

Addition by subtraction for the most part. Gruden hasn't really impressed when I've caught him.

This is awesome. Kornheiser was no good on MNF. I like Gruden. A commentary team of Gruden, Billick, and Cowher would be my dream.

He's hilarious. Plus he knows football. Awesome.

When are TV networks gonna learn that more is less? Do they really need a third wheel in the booth?

-crosses fingers-

Now I can hope that Tony Kornheiser brings his radio show back in some form.

Great pick up by MNF. Gruden will give great analysis and real commentary. I like Corn but he is better served on PTI

I hated Kornheiser. This is a fantastic move. I want to high five everyone at ESPN right now. I know they say his fear of flying is what forced him out, but I'm not so sure. He just never really found his groove as a live broadcaster. Plus, he was annoying as hell.

I actually liked Gruden on NFLN. It's always great to hear from the perspective of ex-coaches, and I think he'll be just fine in the booth.

I do love me some Chucky. :)

Does this mean no more awful jokes and stupid, forced banter?

I think it should just be Jaws and whats his face. Gruden isnt bad though (better than Korn-hole).

good news. i hated Kornheiser on MNF. he brought nothing to the broadcast.

Kornheiser on PTI is good, but not in the booth during a football game.
