The Guys I have had that problem with are DT Whitaker, QB Gunn, CB Henry and C Darby. If you have a low cap shy away from these guys.

Chadd Gunn is a beast, they made him just like a Texas Tech QB, he's also in the Head Coach book. One of the strongest arms in the game, he's only a B potential but he gets up to an 88-89 and stays there, and his short to medium game is very accurate.


I had him for the duration of one franchise and utilized his skills and just went super pass happy, said screw the running game and went 70% passing with 4 legit WR's and two TE's and he broke most of Favre's records by the time he called it quits. Fun to play with.



Anyway, it's about time a Madden 11 thread is made, this one was made in May of last year, and the new one drops in August, I barely know any new features. Don't think I'll like the no turbo feature :(

The no turbo feature can be changed in the settings to be activated. By default its off and you have to change it if you want it on.

I dont know why, but my CB's cant stop ****. I have Quan Henry (94 ovr) and another 94 ovr DB, but they cant stop anything. Both are 99 man coverage, but they dont man up well at all. I run a 3-4 and can jut rush 3 and get a fantastic pass rush.

Any suggestions?

what is this no turbo business?

Acceleration actually means something in this year's Madden and NCAA so players will turbo automatically in open space and when it's appropriate. It'll help out the guys who hit the turbo as soon as they touch the ball

I have BBD and he shuts down everyone.
Once a season he lets someone go off on him
BBD will want big money as well... remember that.

McClintock is a 90 speed with good bump and run skills
BBD is a 96 speed and shouldn't be used in the bump and run (maybe against smaller WRs)
So if you're a B&R type of guy- I say go with McClintock.
I believe guys here have said that you can get McClintock later on in the draft therefore he'll be cheaper.

As for your pass D- I run a 34 as well. Do you only play man to man?
I'm usually 50/50 with it- always trying to confuse the comp.
When teams start to throw all over me- I tend to lean toward a zone (cover 2 or 3)
and then zone blitz at randomly.

This year, the defending Super Bowl champs have faded by two points, to 92. But they're still the best of the bunch.

Doesn't really mean much...the overall ratings aren't usually reflective of the roster ratings anyways.

If anyone gets a chance at Flash Raines (CB) draft him. I think he only gets up to a 91 or 92 overall, but I got a 11 pick and a 10 pick season from him.

I have a question for those of you that played this past year's game:

when you are in franchise mode (or any mode for that matter) and you changed a player's number or equipment did their player model look weird in the games?

my old roommate in college had Madden '08 and '09 and in both years, if I was playing a franchise and I wanted to changed a rookie's number or equipment, all of a sudden their bodies would become ridiculously muscled out, in 2008, or their shoulder pads would then be so wide that they looked like tiny wings (in '09).

I ask because I am thinking of getting 2011 and I want to know if there were any problems like that in 2010. I know that seems like something minute but it would always bug the crap out of me.
