The Legend

I just love this kid. He has some of the best hands I've seen in a while. The best slot receiver in this years class I believe. There are a few problems and they don't relate to his play. One he is going to be 25 years old when he gets into the NFL. Two is he just had surgery. Three is he is more then likely going to run a 4.5. I wonder how these three things will affect his draft stock come April.

His game vs Oklahoma St was amazing with 15 Catches for 170 Yards.

he's a player, definitely has some KR/PR potential and could be a #2 at best, but slot is where he'll see most time. Great quickness and knack for making things happen

I'm almost positive he'll run at least a 4.4, he's alot more explosive then people give him credit for and a great athlete...He'll have a future in the league and should make a good slot WR or a #2 guy, but his age will hurt his draft stock along with the injury history.

He reminds me of a shorter, but faster version of the Texans WR Kevin Walter.

Nah. Drew Bennett mixed with Ed McCaffery.

Haha, so far every WR he's been compared to in this thread is white.

Duh man. White players can only be compared to other white players. Everyone knows that!

There are only a handful of WRs I'd take before Shipley next year. The age is too bad, but I still consider him a top WR. He runs awesome routes, he's quick, he's tough. What's there not to like?

Personally, I see Bobby Engram when I watch him play.

You can't do that. Bobby Engram isn't white!

Maybe the fact that his knees are likely held together with scotch tape and bubblegum.

Maybe the fact that his knees are likely held together with scotch tape and bubblegum. His injuries happened his first few years on campus.

I'd say he has recovered fine. Last season he had 89 rec. 1060 yds. 11 TD's.

Just to show you his knee's are fine, check him out diving over the Jayhawk defense.

Probably true but given his age and the prior injury history I wouldn't touch him earlier than the 3rd round

Probably true but given his age and the prior injury history I wouldn't touch him earlier than the 3rd roundI also think he is likely a 2nd or 3rd round guy.

He is under rated, but I think his age will hurt him. Age seemed to hurt WR Quan Cosby this year in the draft, but I think Shipley is better than Quan.

I think he's more of a 4th-5th guy to me. His ceiling is limited with his physical tools and age. Also remember he does come out of a spread offense so the transition to the NFL could be difficult. He could develop into a great slot guy but he'll have to work hard and it might take a few years.
