Reports are he wants to be traded. He does have some criminal history, but he is 25 and good. I hope we consider it.

Could you imagine the uproar from Denver fans if Chicago trades for him? Lol, they lose their two best offensive players in the same year to the same team.

I would be so happy if we got Marshall but I doubt it happens.

I would feel bad, IDK if there has ever been a total meltdown and destruction of talent in a single off-season in pro sports history.

It would still help. Marshall>Clayton

yes he would be the best WR on our team. He fits our short passes perfectly.

because I'm a huge Brandon Marshall fan (as well as the Ravens)
I'd go nuts if this happened.
It'd be a huge business move and would help our offense/ develop our young, talented QB.

Brandon Marshall is a top 5 WR talent.

who would the Ravens trade for him though?
Clayton? Draft picks?

PFT reports we are looking into it, I would love it!!!

i love him as a player, but i dislike him as a human being. His domestic abuse problems.... but hey, he can change

I agree I dont think we will get him, he is a thug. But how is his character on the football field?

Does no one realize that Denver has control over where he goes? There is no way they send him to chicago.

Except for:

Harris, Urlacher, Forte and every first round pick for the next ten years. Then they will consider it :P

GET MARSHALL NOW!!!

Samari Rolle had domestic abuse charges against him and we had no problem bringin him in and he's been uiet ever since. Send them Clayton and some picks or pretty much anyone they want and some picks (cept for Gaither, Ngata, and a few select others).

True Fabian Washington had issues as well. and McGahee had character issues as well we brought all 3 of them to baltimore.

Supposedly we haven't made any inquiries but we've been researching the situation.

What do yall think we'd have to give up for him?

This would be an incredible move for the Ravens. He would really help Flacco and that offense play alot better. Could turn this really good team into one of the favorites.

I'd actually say....

Marshall > Any WR on the team!

But we still wouldn't have anyone to stretch the field? Clayton was our lone deep threat so trading him would be a bad idea. Yes he is a great talent... but can he stretch the field when needed? he's a big guy and a perfect short range target for Flacco.. but if D-Will can turn out to be a viable healthy option then it would be a great pickup for us

I would think Den demands a 1st and a 3rd then we work from there.

With his character problems, his value might go down. I don't know if they'll get that much. I think a 2nd and 3rd, 2nd and a solid player. 1st and 3rd is just too much.

yea maybe a 2nd and like Bannan or Gregg to play in a 3-4

Just because he isn't a great deep threat doesn't mean he wouldn't be a good fit on the team. I agree that trading Clayton for him wouldn't be the brightest of ideas but he's a much better player and receiver overall so I would have no problem with it. A great short-intermediate WR is much better than a mediocre intermediate-deep WR any day. I don;t think it'll happen though.

exactly both Clayton and Dwill can be serviceable deep threats, nothing to write home about but they can be deep threats. There deep threat job will be easier with Marshall attracting attention

a road block i see is the character concerns and Harbaugh's emphasis on character.

True but we brought in Washington who missed the 1st game because he beat his GF. But not many players have gotten into as much trouble as Marshall.

I would love to have him. Obviously he's a great talent but he fits in perfectly. He gives Flacco a big target down the field but he can also run short routes and convert third downs. He's tough, he's physical and he's just what the offense needs. I'd be willing to trade our 1st for him despite his off-field issues. Marshall is the kind of player who can take them to the next level.

Some idiot friend I've been taking too (bronco fan) who's wayy to far up his ass thinks and assures me that the Ravens have considered trading Ngata (which I completly don't believe) as well as Justin Bannan and Terrell Suggs. Can anyone confirm this? and btw, my take on all this is that it won't happen. As much as I'd love to have Marshall, the FO has got bigger things at hand with Ngata's contract ending soon, negotiations with Gaither and Suggs to work out as well. Unless they trade Suggs straight up with Marshall, I cant' see how they can afford him.

I don't think Marshall gets dealt here.....sadly.

I agree. I think we are going to worry about our guys and depend on the receivers we have. Then only way it happens is if we get a steal.
