Buccaneers do not need a guard so I see no logic in their 3rd round pick.

I knew Landry would be a selection that someone would question. I didn't go with Joe Thomas because they brought in George Foster. I didn't go with Brady Quinn because Detroit sent no representatives to ND's Pro Day this past Sunday. The leaves Gaines Adams, LaRon Landry, or Leon Hall who could be selected. They brought in Dewayne White from TB to start opposite Kalimba Edwards (who Marinelli is going to personally work with). No use in Adams. That left Landry, who is the most sure thing on the defensive side of the ball. He will do what John Lynch did for Tampa at SS...except he will do it better. Just my opinion though.

Well it seems that we both agree that SF is ready to become that 3-4 team that Nolan has craved for them to become. They have Bryant Young at one DE, Marques Douglas at the other DE, and now they have Franklin manning the middle at NT. They have Manny Lawson at OLB, Tully Banta-Cain at OLB, and Derek Smith at MLB. They have a hole at that other MLB position, so who better than the best MLB who Nolan saw up close and personal at the Senior Bowl. Young may be old, but he's been producing regardless of his age. I feel that they address Willis now and later on in the draft, or next year for that matter, they address Young's replacement.

At some point you gotta build for the future. Kennison is 54 years old. Samie Parker is a bust. Rod Gardner couldn't catch a cold. Dante Hall can only catch balls that are being kicked to him. Sorry, I think I'll stick with Meachem and Steve Smith.

great KC picks in the first 2 rounds but give us Free in the 3rd

I wouldn't. we have much other pressing issues RIGHT now. DT, O-Line, CB's. If you wanna draft someone for the future we need a CB to take over for Law/Surtain they are old as hell.

we would get the proper value out of a 3rd round pick on a WR if its out second one.

87 Eddie Kennison 82 Dante Hall 81 Chris Hannon
18 Samie Parker 85 Rod Gardner 80 Jeff Webb

That the WR situation. Herm is VERY HIGH on Jeff Webb.

Gardner may be able to catch a cold in alaska mid june.

BUt to add two WR's to that grouping would be nice, but its not needed.

We need OG/OT help, DT's, and CB's to add youth there.

I see us grabbing another WR maybe 2nd day.

good Packer draft but personally I think Thompson would take Wilson over Bennett.

horrible raider draft. 2 OG's? OT is a way bigger need. good 1st. give us kalil, rice or tank tyler in the 2nd. give us a OT in the 3rd if we dont get one in round 2. if ot in round 2 give us a DE,DT,WR,RB or TE

Great vikings draft in the first two rounds... But the third CB isnt much of a need have lots of young talent there if anything we would bring in a vet CB not draft one...Give us Buster Davis, or manuel Ramirez There.

I don't think the Lions would take Landry at #2, but if they do trade down I can definately see him as a target.

I don't buy Daymeion Hughes as a Round 2 talent.. Round 3 maybe.. I'd rather take Charles Johnson or Abiamiri there.

There are a few guys that are a little too high on the board, but great first round pick for the Eagles. Tony Hunt would be great as well, but I would rather have Brian Leonard. For our third rounder, Anthony Waters would be a more than acceptable pick.

You need JaMarcus, no question about it. Ben Grubbs is taken in the 2nd round because Sims is moving to LT, Gallery is shifting to RT, and you just signed Jeremy Newberry to play C (also played by Grove and Treu). Grubbs turned some heads at the Senior Bowl, and even as a rookie he is an upgrade over Kevin Boothe, who went offsides about 192 times last year. Yanda was my pick in the 3rd round because of his versatility. He played OT in college, but is likely to play OG.

The fact is, you don't go OT in the 2nd round. They must like Sims enough to be moving him over to LT to protect the blindside of the QB. Gallery is moving over to RT. You're horrible franchise of a team drafted him with the 2nd pick. There is no way they are giving up on him that fast and drafting his replacement already. Kalil was my pick before, but now he makes no sense because it's just overcrowding the position. Now I could go a different way in the 3rd, but the Raiders need versatility and he provides that.

I couldn't wait for your response. I'm an Eagles fan too, so I see your responses everywhere preaching Brian Leonard and Anthony Waters.

I'm glad you're on board with Griffin. The guy can share time at SS and be Dawkins' replacement whenever he decides to hang it up.

Tony Hunt goes over Leonard because he's more of a natural rusher who played in the Big 10. Brian Leonard was a FB throughout his career. He always got his good share of carries, but the position doesn't come as natural to him as it does to Hunt. Plus, Leonard played in a weak Big East. The Big 10 is all about smashmouth football, and Hunt was one of the best. Leonard is great catching the ball, and I would give him the nod over Hunt if that's what we needed, but we have a guy named Westbrook who is out 3rd down back. And check out Hunt's stats, he can catch that ball too.

Anthony Waters will NOT be the 3rd round pick of this team. Omar Gaither is this team's future at MLB. He's playing WLB for now because they needed someone who could tackle since McCoy blew last season. Expect Trotter to man the middle, and Gaither and Gocong to play the outside positions. If Trotter goes down, Gaither shifts over to MLB and McCoy comes in. Or, in my draft scenario, Antwan Barnes comes in if he proves to be better than McCoy. If Trotter is still healthy and he's able to be on the field, you better believe he won't be on the field on Nick packages. That'll go to Gaither and McCoy, who I think will be this team's Shawn Barber. Gaither is the future at MLB, not WLB. Waters is not needed.

i dont mind the Landry pick at all but if we did pick him we would trade down. There is no way hes drafted at number two. I think Gaines will be the pick instead though bc every lions fan knows u cant count on Kalimba on anything

Brian Leonard was never a fullback until this year. Even the year before he and Rice alternated in the backfield. His 1st two years he was the sole hb.
