Is this a joke? Did the Lions evaluate his tape while he was a Cowboy? wow. just wow.

Who has the brighter future, Kevin O'Connell or Drew Stanton?

I had a feeling we'd claim O'Connell.

Brooks Bollinger???

Mr. Glass' knee surgery means that the roster needs 2 new QB's?

O'Connell could be traded to St. Louis or KC for a low rd draft pick if his tape is good Thursday against Buffalo. If so, smart move.
Bollinger was not even that good at Wisconsin? Not sure about that one.

Funny to maybe just me, but the last 3 players to exchange teams between New England & Detroit ... Paris Lennon, Leigh Bodden & Kevin O'Connell. Is ol' Billy sweatshirt loosing it in Boston or maybe it's just me? Bodden & Lennon were hardly serviceable on our league worst defense last year and conversely that O'Connell has shown some promise? Weird. It must be me. The world has tilted. ;o)

We should run with O'Connell and trade Stafford.

Signing a 3rd or 4th string QB is news? Come on guys you're better than that now.

We should run with O'Connell and trade Stafford.

We should trade Stafford for Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn. 2>1

Getting O'Connell and Bollinger seems strange to me. Why have 5 QB's (assuming Stanton isn't cut/IRed) going into your last preseason game?

O'Connell is worthy of a BOOOOSH!

He's the next Tom Brady, right?

He's better! The Pats drafted him 3 rounds higher than Brady

I wonder if the O'Connell claim means we cut Culpepper. Especially if we're set on Stafford at QB.

The Lions are the best at signing useless backups that have no future.

Why have Bollinger at all? There are at least 3 QB's in the UFL who would be better options (Gray, Losman and Nall).

I think I read on profootballtalk that Pioli didn't put a claim in on him, and Billy B dumped him. So if the NE QB gurus don't like him... but still whatever he was taken in the third round? He has nice tools.

Lions just traded O'Connell to the Jets for an undisclosed draft pick.

Haha, awesome. Turned nothing into something.
