Facebook Apps: Mafia Wars vs. Farmville

Both of these applications on Facebook I play regularly. I'm just curious what you guys enjoy more. I play Farmville more because it has more to the game. Mafia Wars was addicting at first, but now it's just getting old. Discuss...

Farmville is the worst game ever. I seriously don't understand what is fun about it. I've never played mafia wars, I played mob wars though. It was fun for a month or two.

Now, I just played Farmville for the first time.... stupid peer pressure.

Funny thing is that a co-worker of mine milks cows both before and after teaching at a middle school & still plays Farmville on a regular basis. As if the real thing just wasn't good enough!

I just joined Farmville. Any strategy tips? I immediately invested all of my property in wheat. In 3 days, I'll have a ton of coin!

Well, a tip if you want to make a little bit of quick coin.

Plant strawberries or raspberries. Strawberries are ready to harvest in four hours, raspberries in two, and they give you about a 30 coin investment. So if you know you're going to be on in a few hours, plant them and you can make upwards of 2-5 thousand.

Tip for Mafia Wars people. There is a glitch in the program. As long as you have one dollar you can heal so it doesn't matter what it costs. FYI. So usually I bank my money and then take a dollar out and heal.

That is idiotic. Banking costs you 10% of your money. As long as you're investing strongly in property, you will almost always outpace any robberies with earnings from your houses, etc.

Another money suck: protecting properties. It's a waste. When I rob someone, it costs me 14 health when I win. Post protection, it costs me 6-10 health per attack. If I want to rob and take out someone's property, I'm going to do it. Don't waste your coin there.

That only helps if you are strong. If you have only a few Mafia members your **** will be robbed and destroyed on a daily basis. Which is why I don't invest in mega casinos. Also don't buy property one at a time do it like 10 at a time it is cheaper to do it that way.

You can just add people as friends, add them to your mafia, then unfriend them. That's what I did. It is a good way to build strength.
