Look at his career. Im a Browns fan, but most Browns fans think he is great. Tell me if his numbers explain how he was anything but average.

First off, he only played 3 complete seasons in his career. 2nd when he was a Brown, they were good because of a very solid run game, not a passing game. Vinny Testaverd's career is much better. The Browns were at there peak in 1985, when we had 2 1,000 yard rushers (Bernies rookie year, and didnt have a huge impact).
Is he great? Or are Browns fans bias?

In what aspect? What did he do in his career to merit that? It obviously isnt his stats, he never won a championship, never did anything. Just a fan favorite.

He was just a very underrated player.

Don't you hate when people make new topics to settle arguments but completely skew the words? It happened a while ago with a Bears fan saying Favre will have a worse year next year than Grossman, and some Packer fan started a poll saying "Who would you rather have for next year?" Which is a completely different question. I feel for you.

I was under the impresion was about how Belichek was a poor coach in Cleveland (he was, he didn't realize he needed an O-Coordinator in Cleveland) as well as him being a pompous, cocksucking, piece of ****. An example I used was Belichek releasing Kosar in the middle of the 1993 season. He did this when not only were we 5-3 and in first place, the heir to Kosar, Testaverde was hurt. Nobody said Kosar was great, he wasn't, but he was good (career 81 rating). This was not what made him our favorite Cleveland Brown, it was his demeanor, his community work, his love for Cleveland. He even wanted to play for us so bad (he's from Ohio) he passed on the regular draft and entered the SupplementaL Draft instead. We then traded up to get the first pick in the Supplemental to get him (That rule has been changed). Tat's not something we forget easily, we have a chip on our shoulder so when someone loves us we don't forget.

Bernie was a Cleveland guy and thus the fans loved him. He worked hard, made plays and left it all out on the field and the Cleveland faithful rallied around him. Whether or not the rest of the world thinks he's great is irrelevant, but to Cleveland he was a Legend and thats ok.

Cleveland has a really bad history of overrating all of there players.
Most think Charlie Frye can lead us to the playoffs.
Most though Lee Suggs was a franchise back.
Most think Braylon Edwards is a pro bowler
Most think Andra Davis is one of the best LB's in the league.
I live in Ohio and have to hear this crap all the time.
It goes for every sport, most think the Cavs are a championship team, most think the Indians are gods etc....
Im not even going to get on the subject of Ohio State, that should say enough right there.

You remind me of Rue Paul. Before he/she was "it". You should have never came out of the closet.

Truthfully I think Derek Anderson is a better option at QB then Charlie Frye and if Edwards would calm down and worry more about football and less about being an A$$ CLOWN, he probably could be one of the better receivers in the league. He has the physical tools to succeed but certainly not the mental ones.
