Anyone who didn't choose dogs obviously has no soul.

There is absolutely nothing like the feeling you get when you come home, only to have your dog run up, jump on you, and you know that you are the most important/loved person to them.

Cats have no souls or personality, that's just science.

Plus, cats could give a **** if anything bad happens, like someone breaking into your house.

You act like a cat can't show some one the same kinda love.

In 1924, Hachiko was brought to Tokyo by its master Hidesamuro Ueno, a professor in the agricultural department at the University of Tokyo. When Hachiko's master went to work, it greeted him off at the front door, and when his master came back from work he usually went to the nearest railway station and waited for him there. It used to do this as a routine every day. However, his master died a year later in May 1925, but Hachiko kept this routine and waited for its master at the station for the next 11 years until its death in 1935.

'Nuff said. Dogs are awesome.

You act like a cat can't show some one the same kinda love?

No cat (house cat) has ever shown the type of excitement a typical dog does. Slowly walking to you, rubbing against you, and purring is nothing compared to the energy and affection that a dog shows.

I know I can't say never, but can you honestly tell me that cats seem happier/more affectionate than dogs do at that type of moment? The amount of affection a dog openly displays is so far beyond that of a cats.

I'm not saying they don't show any affection, just that it isn't near the same level.

Its a different kinda of affection true but they are different animals it doesn't make it any less real or heart felt.

Cats seem to be more loyal to one person while dogs are more easy going I don't think that makes dogs better they just have a differnt make up.

And then one day you walk into your house. You eye a jar of peanut butter sitting on the counter...it is slightly open....you look around not knowing who or what opened this jar of peanut butter. You sit in the silence for a bit and hear a loud slurping noise coming from the other room. You run in there quickly to examine this noise! Your two best friends (one being the dog) turn to look at you stunned by your presence. You look down to see your friends private area covered in peanut butter and dog drool. You then drop to your knees and raise your hands into the air screaming NOOOOOO! Like the scene in Platoon.

I guess the moral to this story is: Cats do not lick peanut butter off your friends sack.

are you kidding me?

my cat hears me walking up to the house, and is at the door, before i even get in, his head is rubbing against my ankles. reach down, pet the poor beast... and he follows me around the house until i sit down and show him love.

and then he walks off. comes back in a little while, and lays on me. he sits on top of my feet when they get cold. licks me while i'm getting out of the shower, cuddles up next to me while i'm sleeping.

that. and dogs aren't this cool

My vote went to dogs but there really is nothing wrong with cats. I don't understand why everyone think cats suck. Sounds like everyone with a cat says, "my cat acts more like a dog than anything." not the stereotypical cat attitude.

Both of my cats fetch and come when called and seem to miss me more than my dogs. My dogs care more about going outside and eating than seeing me after I come home from work. My cats basically don't leave my side until I lock them out of my bedroom.

My bird on the other hand is the most affectionate.

Both have their ups and downs, and it really depends on what kinda person you are.

There's nothing better than a well trained dog. Thing is, though, is that most people have no idea how to train a dog, and an untrained one is needy, annoying, messy, and destructive, whereas cats are relatively low maintenance.

I had the greatest cat in the history of humanity. Mofo was a true hunter, I saw him drag a fullgrown goose down by the neck. But when it came to people it was the most gentle and friendly animal ever. Hell we didn't even have to feed it most of the time as it would come to our house simply for company. That and I saw that cat and a family of raccoons have a staredown until the raccoons left our backyard.

Also have to mention that sooooooooo many dogs are just ********. And i've never been hit in the nuts by a cat just for walking in through the front door.
