Just thought I'd give this a shot and see how it goes for the year. The rankings are in order
Top five results I did not expect
1. South Florida over Florida State
2. Oregon crushing Cal
3. Stanford over Washington
4. NC State over Pittsburgh
5. TCU over Clemson
Top five surprises I did expect
1. Iowa over Penn State
2. South Carolina beating Ole Miss
3. Michigan struggling with Indiana
4. Ditto Notre Dame and Purdue
5. Georgia Tech looking like a top 10 team again
Top five most underrated programs
1. Iowa
2. Georgia Tech
3. Wisconsin
4. Connecticut
5. Arizona
My top five in the polls for next week
1. Florida
2. Boise State
3. Alabama
4. Iowa
5. Virginia Tech

I feel like Cincy is the most underrated. You have them in your own top 5 but they get no love on the national level. In fact the Big East is doing much better this year than most people would have thought.
Did you really quote yourself on your Big 10 picks? Good lord. Anyways, I agree with most of what you said, especially USF over FSU. That's a shocker, not because Grothe was out either, that guys terribad. Miami's win over FSU looks unimpressive yet again.

Where is this Iowa love coming from BearsFan?
I expect a full write-up for this one.

FSU is having a very weird year for sure. I think the ACC is going to be crazy like this all year round.

I never disliked Iowa, I just never thought they would be a top 10 team.
I still actually don't think they will finish in the top 10, they are in part there at the moment by default because so many other teams are flopping like dead fish. Iowa has beaten two quality opponents in convincing fashion and are 4-0. If you look across the college landscape you can't say that about too many teams. I could see them winning the B10, or sharing it with OSU.

Did you really think TCU over Clemson was a suprise. I liked TCU there all the way and I thought quite a lot of people did.
My frustration:
People calling ND overrated after this game need to think:
How many teams would play well without:
- easily their best running back
- a top5 receiver nationally and the best receiving option in the team by a margin
- a qb putting up heisman numbers playing on half strength at best
and with that being said they were still close enough to making it a comfortable game
if you call ND overrated you are free to do so but dont do it on the back of this game

I'm mildly surprised that you did not expect TCU over Clemson. I also did not expect the top 3 in your "Top 5 results you did not expect" category.

Results are Results. Everyone's still hopped up on them being 'a force', when in reality, injuries are getting the best of them.
That said. They're ranked fine. Not Ranked.

Well, TCU over Clemson was the last one. It was either that or LSU only beating Miss State by 4.
TCU earned respect last night. Prior to that they hadn't really done much.

I see you included us in your top 5 for next week :). I have a feeling it will be Florida, Texas, Alabama, LSU & Boise State.

I still dont think we know what we have with the Irish, their defense continues to be porous and as you've stated they have been decimated by injury. I've been impressed with Clausen, Tate and Rudolph but i think there are more losses to come at some point.

Ow I agree that they shouldnt be ranked but people shouldnt use the purdue game as a reference that is my only point.
