He really stood out to me in the Georgia game. Any time the COACHES start talking about the kid and saying that he is the next RAY LEWIS (especially coming from the coach who recruited Lewis to Miami). He has unbelievable instincts in coverage and he has great athleticism and is really fast reading plays. This kid is an amazing prospect and he's only a true Freshman. I can see him going top 5 whenever he decides to come out. What do u guys think.

Got a good look at him last night against the UW. The guy has all the physical attributes of a great LB but he's completely out of his mind on the football field. Not sure if that was normal because i hadnt seen much of him but he was completely bonkers last night, not in a good way either.

The guy is a great talent, but his play is a contnuation of the way he played in hs. Had a pretty dirty reputation in hs football circles. Very much plays with raw emotion.
He'll have 3 years to clean it up and get it under control.
This is one intense kid, though I agree that he's going to need to tone it down. The Ray Lewis comparisons seem legit despite being only a true freshman. Here are some videos of the good AND bad:

I actually noticed him during the Stanford/ASU game this past weekend. He was a beast vs. the run and helped to shut down a damn good Stanford run game. He had about 10 tackles with 6 solo. He consistently met RBs at the line and stuffed them.
However at one point in the game he did get a personal foul for yelling at the ref after a bogus facemask penalty.
Think we can all agree he is outstanding and is easily the best inside linebacker prospect regardless of class in the nation. He would be the 1st inside backer taken in the 2011 draft if he could come out without question, it would not even be close.
That sophomore class of linebackers is one of the best in a very long time. All of these linebackers, especially the top three one could argue as being some of the best linebackers in the nation.
Sophomore class of linebackers:
Vontaze Burfict Arizona State
Luke Kuechly Boston College
Manti Te'o Notre Dame
Michael Mauti Penn State
Burfict is an absolute beast at his position, Kuechly is a tackling machine, Te'o is just about as big and fast as Burfict is and Mauti is extremely productive when he is healthy.
This group is just as elite at their position as the up coming junior class of receivers Green, Jones, Floyd and Baldwin. These linebackers are just outstanding.

Also jeleni jenkins is a Freshmen but was Red Shirted last year so he could come out early as a Red Shirt Sophomore.

Best LB prospect I've ever seen, a little immature or edgy I guess, gets stupid penalties, but talent wise he is simply the best in the nation

The kid is a lunatic, but a freakish athlete.

Also Burfict had far more than 10 tackles vs Stanford, I'd guess around 20 but since it's not an official stat we will never know

He plays like a mad man on the field and his name makes me think "serial killer". It does not get much better than that.

The hype is real. The guy is getting Lewis comparisons and it's only a little ridiculous...alot ridiculous...but he's still really really good.

Why aren't his tackle numbers higher, I wonder( haven't seen anything on Burfict except youtube)??
Is he simply a high motor/intensity guy, or does he have the pure instincts to match his intangibles and physical tools???
He's likely a first rounder, top 20, whenever he comes out, but I think at the moment that Keuchly is the most instinctive LB playing in the BCS.

Love watching the dude, but he needs to tone it down if he wants to stay in Goodell's anti violence league
