Bucs fan here. I know the Jake Plummer trade worked out perfect for Denver, but can you guys confirm trhat now that he retired I heard that PLummer ha sto p0ay the BUcs, not Denver, 5-7 mil in bonus money he already received from you guys.


So Denver saved cap money and added a 7th orund pick

Tampa lost a 7th round pick but our owners get to pocket 5-7 mil of someone elses money

Jake PLummer is out of a NFL job and owes millions to Tampa

Id say the only person who lost out in this deal was JAke Plummer

However, if Plummer does indeed officially retire, the Bucs can go after him for as little as $5 million and possibly as much as $7 million in bonus money that Denver previously paid him. Tampa Bay is entitled to his signing bonus and all bonuses even though Denver paid it to Plummer because when you trade for a player, you inherit all of the provisions and clauses in the contract.

So we traded a 7th round pick for 5-7 million dollars. Id say our Owner/GM were damn smart if you ask me, slappy

You guys restructured Jake Plummer's contract 4 times in 4 years, and the Bucs can recoup all that bonus money.

Not only that, but the bUcs get added salary cap room in 2008 from the money Plummer has to pay back
