I've gotta go with Jim Kelly just for the fact that he was so close so many times.

This poll is an oxymoron. Obviously you can't be good if you don't win it all, right?

jim kelly, though that is a bit of a homer pick...

O well. That still makes Dan Marino the most overrated QB and all stats. He had more talent around him than did Sanders or really any other great player to never bring home the ring besides Jim Kelley but atleast he was able to get there 4 times.

I agree... Rich Gannon was a big homosexual... Bo Jackson had no hip, and Tim Brown was almost as bad as Philip Neville

Dude Neville would have dominated as a WR.

Marino... the best QB to ever play in the NFL
dude its the best athlete, QB's are not athlete compared to RB's, baseball palyers and bball players

QB is one of the most unathletic postitions, besides a few people like michael vick, please dan marino was no athlete

05-31-2006, 07:47 PM
I am the best athlete that never won a ring

Jay

That's a solid list, and my vote goes to Marino, but Ernie Banks should be on there too...

Everyone on this site takes everything too literal. I am sure by "athlete" he meant the best sports "player" ever. And when people refer to sports players, they call them sports athletes regardless of position.

That is also the reason why the answer to this question in Anthony Munoz hands down, no questions asked.

Willie Mays!

Best PLAYER? Dan Marino

Best Athlete? Bo Jackson (I dont think he ever got a ring)

That said, Id rather have a better player than Athlete.

Anna Kournikova....anyway top 3:]

1. Ewing
2. Sanders
3. Marino

05-31-2006, 08:10 PM
You are all joking right? I am having a terrible dream right?> Anthony Munoz was to LT's what Jerry Rice was to WR's. Meanwhile Dan just choked.

Shane P. Hallam
05-31-2006, 08:15 PM
How the hell did Dan just choke? He easily could be the greatest QB to play the game, despite not having a ring. It just never matched up. When he had a good RB and WRs, the defense was crap. When the defense got good, he had no RBs or WRs. He was unlucky, but had all the talent to be the best, and still may have been.

marino probably would be called the best QB ever if he won a SB or 2, but I voted Bonds b/c he's better at HRs than Marino was at TDs despite the steroids

i think marino then followed closely by sanders... i have no respect for bonds...

its between Sanders and Ewing for me, Malone gets knocked for trying to win a cheap one as a bench player with the Lakers.

he should not of went to NJ in the first place. he only went there because NJ overpaid hugely for him to steal him from the heat.
