I didn't like the pick at the time tbh. But hes legit. Hes like the opposite of Whitner. Whitner just disregards the fact that a ball is in the air and hits people. Byrd actually looks for the ball.

I wasn't a huge fan of the pick, but wow the kid can play. Think if he didn't get hurt and started week 1. He'd have like 20 INTs.

I didn't like the pick until I heard the team drafted him to play FS. I was angry at the thought of taking a nickel CB in the 2nd round

Think about it, in hindsight Jairus Byrd should have been a top 5 pick in the 09 draft and dare I say it, he is what teams are HOPING Eric Berry will become. I wouldn't trade Byrd for the #1 overall pick in the 2010 draft.

You're drastically overvaluing him. He's been really good but safeties are a dime a dozen in the draft.
