The Morgan Middle School football team in Ellensburg, Wash., doesn't need a sheet to know when to go for the two-point conversion. It may have a sure-fire play: Just throw it to Brenden Adams.

Adams, you see, is 7-foot-4. (http://highschool.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1011697)

Brenden Adams towers over other players. That's right; the tallest teen-age boy in the world according to the Guinness Book of World Records is playing football this year. In middle school.
"This is the first year my mom's let me play," Adams told Melissa Luck, an executive producer for KXLY4 in Spokane. "She thought I was gonna get hurt or something. It's my favorite sport and she said this is an opportunity she didn't want me to miss."

He's never gonna make it to the NFL. Too many medical issues.

His mom was worried about kids who think like like I did, "Hit him in the knees!"

let the boy play basketball, football is no game for someone that tall
edit: saw the film, he is not meant to play sports

So is this some kind of freak medical case where he'll be 9 feet tall in a couple years?

Read the last sentence. They've stopped his growth with testosterone shots. Doesn't fix all the medical problems he has though.

I like how people are talking about the NFL with this kid lol. The playbook they run is specifically designed for him to only take a few steps and catch a lofted ball because he gets winded so much.

The point of the story is to tug at your heart strings, not show case a potential NFL player :p

Basketball would probably be worse. No way in hell his knees can handle him running down the court more than once.

It's kinda lolworthy seeing him next to those kids.

His spleen was the size of a newborn baby. Normal spleens are the size of your fist.

Gotta feel for the kid.

man, God bless that kid. He's really unfortunate and I feel really bad for him. I hope somehow he can live as long as possible. Sounds like a cool medical/life accident but that's just terrible.

damn dude that sucks. To bad he didnt have all the health problems and could actually be a dominating, pretty fast 7' 4" WR... That would be awesome.

Agreed. Poor kid, I mean he's 14 and already has arthritis. :(
