Decent Lions Mock . . . fills some needs, but I'd prefer to grab a DE on day one.

I wanted to give the lions a DE i just wasnt sure where to do it on day one, everytime there pick came up i saw someone else i thought would be of better value than a DE(since you signed some in free agency) the people at other positions just always seemed to be a better fit at the pick

Good and realistic Lions draft.. Personally I'd rather have someone else over Joe Thomas, but if we're stuck at #2 i'm sure he'll be the guy.

Thanks for all the Comments so far, im going to try to add on the other 4 rounds in a few days which will be like splitting hairs, i must say it's very difficult picking in later rounds for teams you dont really follow

i was trying to think of a trade that would work for the lions and the other team but in the end i felt it would be to costly for any team to pull the trigger on a trade, so they got stuck there if the lions hadnt of signed some DE's in free agency i would have thought of Gaines adams more, but Joe thomas is without a doubt the BPA there.

Great cowboys draft except in the third I would draft Mcbean for DE depth or an OL or steve smith

Bears don't pass on Ginn.

Ginn & Beason would be a great Bears draft.

Packers wouldnt get Stuckey, he had a bad combine personally, i would rather have steve smith or Josh Wilson there, although he reminds me of Carroll, with return skills. But a 3rd for him is better than a 1st for carroll

Besides the random selection of Courtney Taylor, great Denver draft.

You don't think Ray Mcdonald will be drafted on day one?

I really like your mock with 1 exception....where's the day 1 VIkings WR ??

I think Houston makes out like a bandit in your mock...Peterson /Wright and Higgins ? WOW ...if that were the purple's picks I'd be quite a happy camper.

alright ill keep that in mind but if the bears take ginn, than i see the colts stretching for beason at 32, so it kind of a one or the other sort of deal.

yea i was thinking of Josh wilson but with how well your CB's played this yeari thought GB was in more need of some WR talents than Cb. so I read Scotts Scouting reports on the Recievers and Stuckey just seemed the best right there i chose him because he could help out on the return(which steve smith cant) and who knows what will happen to koren robinson so you got stuckey there in case and he can help out at WR. But i guess ill give Josh Wilson More consideration next time

Besides the random selection of Courtney Taylor, great Denver draft.

was confused where to go with it Rod Smith is getting up there in age you have Javon walker and Brandon marshall played well last year but i thought another wr talent here would be nice so i read scotts scouting reports and Courtney taylor sounded the best fit there.

You don't think Ray Mcdonald will be drafted on day one? lol I guess not but hed be early in the next round

your right, but i think if TE Ben Patrick is still there in the third, i think the pack jump on him as he reminds me of a Better David Martin, reciving wise, and a solid blocker. Plus hes a need. Blackman will be our KR/PR after being hurt so we just need a day 2 WR to be a project.

good ravens picks

Greg Olsen or nobody for the Jets at TE. Miller isn't much of an upgrade over the already steady Chris Baker. Alama-Fracis or Woodley would be better there.

Good Ravens first round.

Good 2nd Round.

Great Mock!

No Justin Blalock!

The first round pick for the Eagles is not as likely as Charles Johnson. The second pick is good though, and in the third, we may go with Tony Hunt over a CB but the most likely scenario would be Anthony Waters as our third pick.

The way you have players being taken, I'd take Meachem 1st, Weddle 2nd like you have, then Tony Hunt in the 3rd round. Pretty solid mock though

03-11-2007, 01:05 PM
The bills don't have a 5th rounder. Good draft exept for the fact we aren't drafting a CB. Switch the 93rd pick to a CB, and it will be a great draft

Great first 2 rounds, but in the 3rd I would like to address the OL, for the sake of addressing it in the first day. Maybe even Brian Leonard with our 3rd pick as our powerback.

all right thanks for all the comments/suggestions, as for the comment about eagles taking meachem in my situation thank god because now that the patriots signed stalworth i was kind of lost as to what i would do with meachem

Don Vito
03-11-2007, 06:14 PM
Pats wouldn't make that trade. We could stay at 24 and grab a solid DB/ILB and do the same with the 28th pick. WR isn't really a round 1 need for the Pats with the addition of Stallworth. We mainly need CB/S/ILB.

Bad Steelers mock. If they trade they'll trade down and pick up some extra picks. They don't need any position so they'll stay were they are and either take the BPA or trade down. The only time they have traded up since Colbert is when they needed a receiver(Santonio Holmes) and a safety(Troy Polamalu). They have Foote, Farrior, and a nice young back-up in Rian Wallace. Now if Willis is there at #15 and is the BPA okay. Otherwise nope.

Im liking the Bills first two picks but after that you kind of killed it. With all the picks we have maybe its hard to find that many players. Makes you think we might trade up..

Cards don't need a DT atleast until day 2, Watson, Dockett & Clancy are all good enough

it that scenario the cards would trade down and grab brown

typical Raiders draft.
QB
T
WR
honestly if the Raiders go WR they'll go CJ.they have two good WRs in Porter and Curry. If they go WR its CJ.

03-12-2007, 09:21 AM
why do you have the pats trading up 4 picks in the 1st round ? there is no way they trade a 3rd to do that. If you are going to make trade projections they need to show some merit or be tied to past actions of that team. THe pats MAY consider trading BOTH 1st rounders for a top 10 spot or trading one for a group of 2nd and 3rd rounders, but your scenario makes no sense.

You can forget Meacham, He is not a willing or passable blocker, and to play wr in NE that needs to be a skill.

Interesting Colts Draft. I actually LOVE the 1st round pick even though it isnt defense. I think we need a Ted Ginn Jr. on this team because we will eventually need a replacement for Harrison and we also need a game changer at KR like the Bears had with Hester. I like the 3rd round pick as well but I would rather go defense since we went offense with the 1st round. In rounds 4-7 we could go for a guy like Keith Jackson-DT from Arkansas.

No way the Vikings take Quinn, QB is the one position that Childress has said he will not even consider in the first round.
