No, the baby is healthy and doing great. The reason for early delievery is mom has continuously had high blood pressure and now she is getting contractions. The doc doesn't want her in labor with the high blood pressure.

They measured him 2 weeks ago and he was 5 lbs 12 oz. So he is probably into 6 lbs already. Size wise he will just be a bit smaller than most babies. They gave her a steroid shot just a few hours ago to help develop his lungs.

The baby is beautiful D. Add Kayden to the 6 yr olders that are going to be posting here in 6 years. Haha.

Sitting in the waiting room, two 4 yr old twins were sitting with their mom. Identical outfits on. Drew Brees jersey with a Saints cap on. They also had a fake cell phone. Well, one of the kids made the phone ring and he answered it saying, "Hello??........You suck!!!" and slammed the phone shut. His brother asked him, "Who was that??", he replies, "Tony Romo."

It was hilarious. Everything I want my son to be at 4 yrs old. Goes to show that the 4 yr old kids are smarter than some of the people on the board.

No offense D. :)

it never ceases to amaze me that when people are having a baby and even at the side of his wife in the birthing room, people find time to post about it on SWDC

Lol, I posted on Facebook as I was heading to the emergency room for my fingers...
I'm sure by now you wife is done with labor, but since I haven't read past this post yet, I hope everything went well and you have a happy, healthy wife and child.

Well the mother liked Kane as a name and Aiden as a name. I wasn't really too keen on either so I smashed them together and liked the result. I brought it up and she loved it. Kayden. :)

I'm old fashioned, too. We are struggling to come together on a boy's name. Since we both work in schools, & I used to "teach" E/BD, our list of "no" names is pretty damn long.... too many douche bags that we have worked with.

The wife wants to go with Sullivan. I'm not down with it. Thoughts?

Congrats TT!
