The schedule makers had it in for us; we have now played four teams coming off of their bye week. Amazingly it looks like we got a split out of that, but it still isn't fair.

Unlike years past, though, this is a different Bengals team and a different Browns team. I don't know what happened but all the stars seemed to have aligned for the Bengals even with your first rounder being injured.

And like has been said: it's the Raiders. Their garbage. Hell, their starting Bruce Gradkowski, who I did like coming out of college, but the dude has been terrible in starting situations like he'll face Sunday. And your defense is stout, much stouter than I ever expected.

Actually no Who Dat is a rip off if u look up the history

Who Dey came around in 1980 after the bengals beat the steelers at home

Who Dat orginated at LSU in 1981

Then the Saints picked it up in 1982 when Bum Philips was the Coach and they were headed to the playoffs

To be fair, Who Dey was used in 1981 during the Bengals Superbowl run, while "Who Dat?" wasn't officially the Saints chant till 1983.

Edit: No doubt that "Who Dat?" came first though, the music industry in New Orleans has been using that forever.

The Patriots need to win this game. The last time they played the Jets, Tom Brady didn't play well at all. He missed on a lot of throws and clearly wasn't all the way back yet. Their game-plan was very weak as well, and Mark Sanchez hadn't been exposed yet. Plus, now that Kris Jenkins is gone, it looks like you can establish some sort of running game. A win here and a loss by the Dolphins @ Carolina (which is plausible, especially now that Ronnie Brown is out) would pretty much lock up the division. I'd look at another 300-yard game by Tom Brady (including a big game by Moss with all that Revis has said) and a win. I don't think they drop two in a row, or two to the Jets. New England hasn't played as well as they should have this year, but their three losses have been by a combined 11 points.

We had a decent run game last time, that was just in the part of the season when some genius thought we should let Brady throw over a 100 times in two games. If I remeber correctly, Taylor rushed for 48 yards on only 6 carries. Dont ask me why we didnt run it more.

Yah, but torn ligaments don't just go away. If they play him on Sunday they will be playing him the rest of the season. And then they'll probably take a QB in the draft if the damage looks bad enough, isn't Orton in the last year of his contract? Tough situation for sure.

Hm, fair enough. Either way I support his toughness and although I think we should look for a future franchise QB with our high pick from Chicago, I want Orton starting next year and hopefully being our backup for a while after that. I really like the guy, but I've learned not to get too close to my team's QB ever since that gunslinger came into town, stole my heart and abruptly left my ass six months pregnant.

Miaoww
11-19-2009, 09:37 PM
Gross it out so Wharton's playing LT - he's terrible there, can't handle the speed rush. Otah's not the best against the pass (he's good, but still learning). We have a rookie at LG too. The coaching staff doesn't put them in the best position to win, they let the Phins tee off on the Ts with no help and a terrible QB, hence the sacks.

Roddy White's wikipedia page:

White attended James Island High School (now James Island Charter High School) in Charleston, South Carolina (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charleston,_South_Carolina), and was a three-sport letterman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Letterman) and standout in football (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_school_football), baseball (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baseball), and wrestling (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wrestling). In football, he broke every school career receiving record, was a two-time All-Low Country (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Carolina_Low_Country) honoree, a two-time All-State honoree, and was also listed as one of the top receivers in the nation on Rivals.com. Not particularly, but that's because we have no pass rush, so screens really don't have a use. Teams can just pass downfield more easily.

Actually, if anything that quote suggests that Champ has finally gotten over himself and realized that Rivers, even begrudgingly, is a pretty good QB. Though I have to wonder what planet he lives in if he thinks Rivers is the only trash talking QB. Did he forget that Brett Favre is still playing? Or that Brady isn't on IR like he was last year?

Lol, What's so funny about that situation is I never understood why Minny wanted him so bad anyway when they had Sidney Rice. He's alot better then TJ and younger, cheaper, it just never really made sense as to why Minny was trying so hard. Maybe they weren't as confident as Rice before hand, not sure.

Rice hadn't done anything before this season. I was probably the biggest Rice supporter out there in the draft, but Housch would have been a good pick up for the Vikes, especially if Favre didn't join up with them.

Updating earlier news from the week....

Albert Haynesworth (ankle) will not play against the Cowboys Sunday.

Kedric Golston gets the start and is obviously a big downgrade. Upgrade Marion Barber's matchup, especially considering how much the Cowboys emphasized the run this week. Haynesworth's bulk in the middle will be sorely missed.

Dallas was looking at Paul for a while but, when the Mcquistan's stood side by side it caused mass hysteria throughout our fan base, canceled tickets and party passes left and right. I also heard most players couldnt hold their lunch with those two walking around in the locker room. You just cant have that.
