Im guessing that you are a Redskins fan?
Santana Moss is the perfect player for me.
He went to my favorite college.
He played for my favorite team.
Now he plays for a team that I root for.
I still wish he was a Jet.

He has a history of beating up the Cowboys in Dallas so there is definately a chance. Hopefully Campbell has enough time to hit him deep.

I've always been such a purist with athletes, it's usually only people who were on the team I support (though a few exceptions lie in Rick Ankiel, Joe Mauer, Alexander Ovechkin, Evgeni Nabokov, etc.) but I got a little spiel here.
Fantasy Love
Only those who have helped me win a fantasy league or stay relevant in one go in this category, I d/c about personal indiscretions, lack of heart, personal hatred, etc.
Steve Smith
I like watching the man play but my real love for Steve Smith was just because he helped me out in my first year of fantasy in 2005. I played with some of my friends from middle school in 8th grade and was really into it. I think I joined like 20 leagues. However, Steve Smith was the first "gold mine" pick I had as he exploded to beastly levels. I vote him in the fantasy hall of fame no matter what.
Kirk Morrison
Aforementioned league with middle school/high school friends (it's non-pay), we use IDPs. Kirk Morrison is the most reliable IDP I've ever owned. He's a pretty solid LB'er too but again, like Smith, I will only really recall his fantasy worth.
Draft Mancrushes
Only those who I loved as prospects
Justin Rascati
Not in the NFL, I don't care. I hyped him up soooo much before the draft and even had a sig of him.
Eric Winston
I thought he was a mammoth at LT and though his draft stock slipped dramatically from the Top-5 buzz surrounding him around this time in '05; he has at least check, turned out to be a solid OT for Houston. Again....just off my memory.
Special Players
Not in the "I am Sam" way but these players are the obvious ones. I feel like I'm witnessing something special when watching these guys perform. Quite simply, no explanations needed to justify my rationale. Just talking about those who you may tell your kids about
Adrian Peterson, Calvin Johnson, Vernon Davis, LaDainian Tomlinson, yes, Brett Favre
Mark Brunell
Before Peyton was drafted, my all-time favorite football player was Mark Brunell.....odd, yes; but I admired Brunell for quite some time. Still do.
I had some free time.

http://www.cyberpresse.ca/images/bizphotos/435x290/200909/20/109801-quart-arriere-vikings-brett-favre.jpg
He's even my favorite player in the entire NFL I think. I love him to death and hope he can play until he's 50 years old and he can decide a week before every season as far as Im concerned (Im not a Vikings fan!, but lets say I will be one come the playoffs...). I love Peyton Manning too but Brett has so much more carisma and is so fun to watch.
A few others: AD, CJ, MJD, Troy Polamalu.

When he is on his game, he will pick apart any defense. He might have the highest football IQ in the NFL. Id put it up against most coaches. Dont fool yourself by thinking Indy has an offensive coord. This guy runs the show. Period. Us holding him to ridiculously high standards is the norm.

This is so hard to break down to a couple individual players but there are players at every position on the field that I root for. I wouldn't consider them any of my favorite players aside from Lord Favre.
Quarterback

There aren't many other quarterbacks that I'm in love with really. I root for these guys to do well every Sunday.
Running Back/Fullback
1. Steve Slaton
2. Ronnie Brown
3. Chris Johnson
4. Peyton Hillis
Wide Reciever
1. Anquan Boldin
2. Wes Welker
Tight End
1. Owen Daniels
2. Tony Gonzalez
Offensive Line

2. Ryan Clady
Gotta love the young left tackles.
Defensive Line
1. Mario Williams
2. Haloti Ngata
Linebackers
1. Elvis Dumervil
2. Thomas Davis
3. Jon Beason
4. Demeco Ryans
Defensive Backs

He would've gone there if the Jets didn't trade up one pick in front of the Steelers to pick Revis. But I am happy with Timmons so far. Ike Taylor, Revis, Poly, and Clark would've been so nasty and with our pass rush? Oh lord.
