'Berry may decide to return to school for his senior year next fall. Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin, is being quoted as saying Berry has a surprise for fans on Saturday. Berry did not participate in the teamís traditional last tackle drill on Thursday morning in which each senior tackles a blocking pad dressed in Kentucky gear.'

I'd have pretty mixed emotions about it if he did return.

For all we know, he could be returning kicks or playing offense again in the "Wild Berry" form like he did sometimes last year.

If he does stay, he'll definitely be a Tennessee Legend.

Wow. Well, which could it be-

A top 8 Safety prospect returning to win 3 or 4 games next year? Or, Lane Kiffen around a microphone?

3 or 4 games? You know we're Tennessee right? Not Vanderbilt.

And it's Kiffin. ;)

Do you have a source?

Do you have a source?

He's correct. They've been going crazy talking about it over at Volnation all week. But there's also talk it could just be Berry playing offense or whatever against Kentucky.

Even though he's my favorite college player, this doesn't make me sad, because the Saints have no shot at him ;)

Hopefully he stays, the Saints trade for some suckers future first, and we luck out and the team bombs :D

I'm all for college players staying for all four years, but from a pro standpoint, he has nothing left to prove.

It's not like he's going to improve his draft stock...hope this is all smoke.

He'd be an idiot if he stays. Berry is already guranteed the top 10 and most likely will go in the top 5.

Huge mistake if he stays. Take the money and run kid. You have nothing else to prove and can't improve your draft stock any. The only thing he could do is lose millions. Call Sam Bradford.

He should come out this year, if he doesen't it's a huge mistake on his part. His stock is already as high as its goona get, he is going for sure at the least the top 15 and he can capitalize on more money this year then next year with a cap. I don't think that quote from Kiffin means he is coming back though, prob just means he will be doing something new in the gameplan saturday.

As a Vols fan I hope he stays, but I would feel like **** if he came back next year and got hurt. If he takes the money and runs..so be it.

He is pretty much a top five pick if he comes out, so I wouldn't see the point in staying if he decides to do that. The only other reason for him staying would be to try and win a national championship, but I doubt that would happen.

I remember this time last season when LeSean McCoy said he was definitely returning to school.

Alot will change between now and deadline time.

Well it wouldn't be the first idiotic move made by a top prospect.

You've got that right. That might make a good thread. Best/Worst decisions of all time in reguards to staying in school or heading to the NFL.

Yep, that's a good one. As it turns out he would have been a bust, but a much richer bust.

That's right. He could win the Heisman like Peyton Manning!

Whoops, bad example. :D

What is Berry's background? If he is the first to go to college in his family getting a degree might be extremely important to him.
