Hi and welcome to the first ever SWDC College Football Playoffs! There will be sixteen teams total broken up in four divisions. A conference can only have three teams total from said conference in the entire playoffs. Rankings will be based upon the final BCS poll. Divisions will be named after legendary college football coaches from specific geographic areas (North, East, South, and West) and teams will try to be grouped accordingly.

First, let's introduce who the divisions are named after.

Representing the East division, the man that owns the most victorious in the history of the FBS and who has coached in more bowl games than any other coach in college football history... Joe Paterno

This man represents the West division. His teams never won fewer than nine games a season and at the time of his retirement he had the best winning percentage of any coach at the time. This coach won 250 games faster than any coach in college football history. He is.... Tom Osborne

We now move to who represents the North division. This man probably has the most recognizable name in all of college football and helped revolutionize during his tenure. His time as head coach was cut abruptly short due to his untimely death but until then he was probably the best coach in college football. That man is.... Knute Rockne

Finally, the South division and the man it is named after. This man has six national championships, thirteen SEC championships, and over 300 all time victories. At the time of his retirement he held the record for most wins as head coach in collegiate football history. He is best known for his houndstooth hat and that man is.... Paul “Bear” Bryant

So we have the Joe Paterno Division (East), Tom Osborne Division (West), Knute Rockne Division (North), and the “Bear” Bryant Division (South).

Teams will be announced tomorrow in division format starting with the South division. Once all the teams are announced and match-ups set, then the good people of SWDC will begin voting on who will win each game. Voting will begin Wednesday!
