I've got a what I think is a pinched nerve in my hip slash hamstring area. It sometimes gives me a shooting pain and makes my leg go numb......Now the part that sucks is I have no health insurance, so Im wondering if any of you have ever had nerve injuries and if there is anything I can do about it? (i.e heat/ice/icy hot)

Went to a chiropractor for mine. I feel your pain though. You could try a stretch I use when my SI joint gives me trouble.

Lay flat on your back.
Raise the leg that is bothering you and pull the knee towards the opposite shoulder as close to your chest as you can.
Resisting your own pressure, force your knee to the distal part of your body.
Relax the thigh and return the leg to being flat on the floor.

Piriformis stretch towards the bottom (http://www.1backpain.com/sacroiliacjointdysfunctionandpain.htm#Exercises%20 and%20Stretches%20for%20the%20Back)

How much does a trip to the chiropractor run?

Maybe you could go see a masseuse, and they could work on it and possibly suggest some things for you to do at home. Maybe look up some stretches like CJ said, or take a yoga class until you hear a pop. ;)

Well sadly, I chiropractor will break the bank if you don't have insurance. I'd say without insurance, the best short term remedy is looking into some therapeutic stretches.

Lots of stretching, and lots of Ibuprofen.

Chiroprators will fix that **** for sure. My brother in law graduated from Chiropractic (?) school last year. He comes over for Vikings games & we have our own version of "half-time adjustments". I never went to one before him, but it is almost a necessity these days.

As CJ said, if you can get to a DC then stretch like a mother-******. It will help. Maybe a hot bath or hot shower, too?

Buy a trip to Las Vegas... fall down in the casino and sue them. That should do it.

This.

You live in Baltimore right ERU? Just slip in a parking lot and say you got hurt. They will always be liable.

I'm confused...

Is Vegas liable for the fall in Baltimore or is someone else?

As in...Go slip in an icy parking lot in Baltimore. The place that owns the parking lot will always be liable.
