Looks like Braylon Edwards did (http://www.cleveland.com/ohio-sports-blog/index.ssf/2009/12/baby_trouble_for_new_york_jets.html)

And now The New York Post reports that Edwards fathered a child with "America's Next Top Model" contestant Nik Pace -- who is now suing him for up to $70,000 a month in child support.

I feel bad for the guy, this ***** is straight gold-digging.

I wish my mom got child support from my father but that was after a 10+ year marriage and 3 children, these women are basically nothing more than whores

I wish Child support was actually to support the child. No child needs 70k a month. Just because a parent can afford it doesn't make it right.

70k a year is absurd, let alone a month.

I live on far less. My mom and dad never made 70k in two years and they raised two kids.

This is just gold digging and whoring. No two ways about it.

I agree. That's ridiculous. My parents make way less than 70k in a year and raised four kids four kids.

How did you parents not make 70k in two years. Entry level jobs pay close to 24k with no experience

70K a month? Just like the suit against suggs, just makes totally sure that you can not take the suit seriously. If I was a judge I would give her a lower amount than I would usually do just to punish her for being a gold digging ho-bag.
Ow yeah and how would you even spend 70k a month. Diapers aint that expensive.

wasnt there a study that a kid costs like 468.XX dollar a month? i remember cause thats the number that appears in the Simpson intro when maggy is pulled over the counter.

3k a month would be mroe then enough. thats more than what the average person makes i think

She won't get anything near that. Child support is much, much different than spousal support. Jim Nance recently got divorced and was ordered to pay $72 K per month in spousal support, and an additional $1,000 per month in child support. Spousal support is so high because in a case where a couple was married for a long time and the woman doesn't work, it's considered she's left at a disadvantage to get a job and support her self. So guys, make sure your wife works.

I doubt she'll get 70k, but it probably will be like 10-20k a month.

I believe I heard somewhere that either Diddy or 50 Cent were paying upwards of a 100k in child support.

Well sadly, in this country they don't give a **** how much it takes to actually raise a baby, child support payments are a percentage of your monthly income regardless of how much you make. That's why in a lot of these cases (Shaq, Fifty) they're paying ridiculous amounts of money. Of course that's if no settlement can be reached with the two parties as to how much money will be shared for the child, but i know in a lot of cases in Texas, you have to cough up 40% of your income.

the worst part is that braylon is trying to be a father for the kid, not just pay child support, and the ***** is still trying to take his money. i think a judge will side with braylon.

You do realize that judges nearly ALWAYS side with the mother unless they are deemed physically, mentally, or emotionally unfit to be parents. Braylon's constant travel and work schedule will prevent him from getting any leeway. The child support payments are going to be huge to cover any travel expenses to transport the child from parent to parent.

That trend is on a downward trend over the last several years. Your point about Edwards being gone a lot is true, but it may sway a judge to grant joint custody.
