So on todays half time show they'll have this, what do you think should be the top 10?

Two that I can think of off the top of my head are:
-the tuck rule play
-Eli breaking 32 tackles and chucking it up in the air only to have Tyree make a miracle catch in the super bowl

Eli's SB throw
Santonio Holm's SB catch
just off the top of my head

Eli to Plax
Ben to Holmes
Eli to David Tyree
those are the fresh ones. Hard to remember some plays from earlier in the decade.

Was the Music City Miracle in January of 2000 or December of 99? I should know that.
"The Tackle" should be on there.

What about the play New Orleans had a bunch of pitch outs to tie a game that would take them to the playoffs, only to lose by missing the extra point? (dont hate NO fans)
Or Josh McCown keeping the Vikings out of the playoffs?
Favre's awesome pass this year to beat the Niners?

Favres this year will probably make it. That was incredible.
And the Tuck rule shouldn't be on there. That was a horrible play which led to a horrible rule.

January of 2000. And it should be top 5 at least.

If it wasn't an illegal forward pass, I'd be inclined to agree with you.
I'll thank you all for crushing my holiday spirit.

I think they said something about the 2000 playoffs not counting since they were a continuation of the 99 season.

The James Harrison runback as number 1 is a joke. Good play, big stage, but best of the last decade?! I see a better play than that every week.

not always. It was put into the NFL in 1999. That game happened in 2002-2003 play offs.
It was a 3 year old rule, which is pretty young for an ever evolving game.
But I know that's not your point :P
The rule existed before that game, it's called the "tuck rule game" because it's pretty much the only time anyone had used that rule up to that point, not because that game invented the rule.

That list was weak and totally biased towards the last 2-3 years.

The Harrison play was great... but really? Number 1? I cannot imagine any play being better than the Eli Manning to David Tyree (off the helmet) pass play to end the ultimate perfect season.

Seriously, I think that was the best play I have ever seen in football, coming from a Pats fan. I mean even if it was just the catch without Eli breaking three or four tackles, play was nuts. Anyone have the list they made, I didnt get a chance to see it.

There is a Reggie Wayne outstanding circus catch or 2 that could have made the list before the Randy Moss over the middle catch.

Most of those plays involved the Vikings somehow. And no way that was the best play Moss made this decade, the Moss toss where he lateraled the ball while getting tackled was better.

Or covered by three Dolphin defenders and still came down with the ball in the endzone for a 56 yard TD, while coming down and injuring one of the Dbs.
