ok I dont make many threads, and GiantRutgersFan is so inspirational he gave me an idea for a poll. Now I know native Philadelphians hate this debate, because they like other cheesesteak places, but for us tourists it a good debate. If you've been to Philly which Philly Cheesesteak joint do you like best?
for me its Pat's Baby!!! Whiz Mushroom WIT!

Never been to Philly, and DON't PLAN ON IT!
Never been there, i love cheesesteaks though. Best place around here is Gianelli's in Milwaukee.

I've never had one, but I feel the need to post, since everybody else does.

I went to Pat's last year. The best Restaurants are open 24 hours a day.

I live in South Philly (where Genos and Pats are located.) it takes me about 15 minutes to walk to Pats or Genos, but imo neither one of them are the best. There is a place called Johns Pork Shack and they are hands down the best in Philly.

Thats why I made the 4th poll option for people who live in Philly.

It's weird that people seem to like Pats over Genos. They both get the exact same rolls, the exact same meats and cheeses and produce. I think they're essentially the same, but Pats offers more customization.
For personal/political reasons, I prefer Geno's when I go, but most smaller, lesser known places in Philly will do just as good a job.

Not a fan of cheesesteaks or cheesecake personally. I've been to Jim's and came away unimpressed and dissapointed.
there are a couple of street vendors near drexel/upenn that i thought were just as good as either of the above choices.
