I tried to explain some draft picks that were not so mainstream. I'll try to respond to others if you have any Questions. Pick it apart.

ROUND ONE

Pick: 1 St. Louis Rams - Ndamukong Suh DT Nebraska
Pick: 2 Detroit Lions - Gerald McCoy DT Oklahoma

Pick: 3 Washington Redskins - Jimmy Claussen QB Notre Dame
Claussen provides a better than average arm that Shanahan will make into someone special.

Pick: 4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Dez Bryant WR Oklahoma St.
Yes, I know. The Bucaneers pick 3rd. Right. They want to build around Freeman, and it is looking like Antonio Bryant won't be back next year. The Bucaneers let the clock wind down on pick #3 and save some money by letting the Redskins move ahead.

Pick: 5 Kansas City Chiefs - Eric Berry FS Tennessee
Pick: 6 Seattle Seahawks - Russell Okung LT Oklahoma St.
Pick: 7 Cleveland Browns - Joe Haden CB Florida
Pick: 8 Oakland Raiders - Anthony Davis RT Rutgers
Pick: 9 Buffalo Bills - Sam Bradford QB Oklahoma
Pick: 10 Jacksonville Jaguars Derrick Morgan DE Georgia Tech

Pick: 11 Denver Broncos (via Chicago) - Carlos Dunlap DE Florida
Last year, Josh McDaniels made some moves in the draft that confused some fans. This year is will be no different. The Broncos are really light on defensive line talent 3-4. I think Mike Nolan was able to mask some of their weakness up front. Since he is gone, look for them to add someone who can be a play-maker similar to a better version of Calais Campbell.

Pick: 12 Miami Dolphins Rolando McClain ILB Alabama
Pick: 13 San Francisco 49ers Taylor Mays SS USC

Pick: 14: Seattle Seahawks(Via Denver) - C.J. Spiller RB Clemson
I am not sure if the Seahawks would have grabbed Spiller if they did not land Okung earlier. Carroll had a knack for using speed-backs at USC.

Pick: 15: New York Giants Earl Thomas FS Texas
Pick: 16 Tennessee Titans Jason Pierre-Paul DE South Florida
Pick: 17 San Francisco 49ers (via Carolina) Bryan Buluga LT Iowa
Pick: 18 Pittsburgh Steelers Mike Iupati LG Idaho
Pick: 19 Atlanta Falcons Brandon Graham DE Michigan
Pick: 20 Houston Texans Brian Price DT UCLA
Pick: 21 Cincinnati Bengals Jermaine Gresham TE Oklahoma
Pick: 22 New England Patriots Sergio Kindle 3-4 OLB Texas

Pick: 23 Green Bay Packers - Patrick Robinson CB Florida
Ted Thompson usually looks how his team will look a couple years down the road? With no Al Harris or Charles Woodson, this teams' defense might break.

Pick: 24 Philadelphia Eagles - Everson Griffin DE USC

Pick: 25 Baltimore Ravens Demaryius Thomas WR Georgia
Thomas might not be a first round pick yet, but if he runs a great forty time like the rumors suggest, watch out!

Pick: 26 Arizona Cardinals Trent Williams OT Oklahoma
Pick: 27 Dallas Cowboys - Bruce Campbell OT Maryland
Pick: 28 San Diego Chargers - Jared Odrick DE Penn St.
Pick: 29: New York Jets Ricky Sapp 3-4 OLB Clemson
Pick: 30 Minnesota Vikings Kyle Wilson CB Boise St.
Pick: 31 New Orleans Saints - Dan Williams DT Tennessee
Pick 32: Indianapolis Colts - Charles Brown OT USC

ROUND TWO

Pick 33: St. Louis Rams - Golden Tate WR Notre Dame
Tate slips a little because of his forty time, but he's just too much of a BPA here.

Pick 34: Detroit Lions - Jonathan Dwyer RB Georgia Tech
Kevin Smith really profiles as a #2 running back in the league. Dwyer will take a lot of pressure off
of Stafford.

Pick 35: Tampa Bay Bucaneers - Jahvid Best RB California
Pick 36: Kansas City Chiefs - Maurkice Pouncey OC Florida
Pick 37: Washington Redskins Jason Fox OT Miami
Pick 38: Oakland Raiders Dominique Franks CB Oklahoma
Pick 39: Cleveland Browns - Brandon Spikes ILB Florida
Pick 40: Seattle Seahawks Brandon LaFell WR LSU
Pick 41: Buffalo Bills Vladimir Ducasse OL U-Mass Amherst
Pick 42: Miami Dolphins Jerry Hughes 3-4 OLB TCU

Pick 43: New England Patriots (via Jacksonville) Ryan Matthews RB Fresno St.
The Patriots really have missed Corey Dillon, and they could use a big, strong running back who just falls forward for 4-5 yards every play.

Pick 44: Tampa Bay Bucaneers (via Chicago) Sean Weatherspoon LB Missouri
Pick 45: New England Patriots (via Tennessee) Rob Gronkowski TE Arizona
Pick 46: Carolina Panthers Arrelious Benn WR Illinois
Pick 47: New York Giants Darryl Washington MLB TCU
Pick 48: Denver Broncos Terrence Cody NT Alabama

Pick 49: San Francisco 49ers Colt McCoy Texas
Pick 50: Houston Texans Perrish Cox CB Oklahoma St.
Pick 51: Kansas City Chiefs (via Atl) Damian Williams WR USC
Pick 52: Pittsburgh Steelers Devin McCourty CB Rutgers

Pick: 54: Cincinnati Bengals Dexter McCluster RB/WR Mississippi
Will relieve Cedric Benson and provide an explosive play-maker at WR and will be that spark their offense really needs.

Pick: 53: New England Patriots Jon Asamoah OG Illinois
Pick: 56: Green Bay Packers Jason Worilds 3-4 OLB Virginia Tech
Pick: 55 Philadelphia Eagles Nate Allen FS South Florida
Pick: 57: Baltimore Ravens Chad Jones SS LSU
Pick: 58: Arizona Cardinals Koa Misi Utah 3-4 OLB
Pick: 59: Dallas Cowboys - Morgan Burnett FS Georgia Tech

Pick: 60 San Diego Chargers Anthony Dixon RB Miss. St.
It has already been decided that LT won't be back with the Chargers, and Dixon would be a great compliment to Sproles and add a dimension that this team could have used in the playoffs.

Pick: 61: New York Jets Tyson Alualu DT California
Pick: 62 Minnesota Vikings Tim Tebow QB Florida
Pick: 63: New Orleans Saints - Corey Wooton DE Northwestern
Pick 64: Indianapolis Colts Kareem Jackson CB Alabama

Solid Patriots mock, it would've been great with Benn instead of Gronkowski. But TE is definetly a need also.

If you are going to give the Lions a RB in the second I would rather have Best. At least when Smith comes back they could compliment each other.

Id give the Skins draft a D+. Ive never been a Clausen fan and I think the top 10 is a stretch in value. im not willing to pay clausen top 5 money, put him behind our oline, and watch him fail. his arm is average at best, he has happy feet, isnt mobile enough for shanahans offense, floats deep balls, forces throws, has never won the big game, and has questionable attitude issues.

my bigger issue though is with the jason fox pick. he has awful knees and struggles way too much in the run game to be an early 2nd round pick. id only take him if he was available at the top of the 4th.

I like both the picks, even if the order is incorrect.

Corey is a pure 3-4 DEnd imo. not bad value wise of positionwise but a terrible fit

Dan Williams is the pick if he's there. Big no thanks to Tebow.

Eh, decent KC picks. I'd prefer McClain, Pouncey and Nate Allen though.

Solid.

Mike Brown does not Draft TEs in 1st round

We drafted Scott last year and he was explosive to relieve some of the workload on Benson the Coach just chose to overwork him. We need a Big fast reciver for are Offense not a small one.

1st Benn
2nd Nate Allen or Reshad Jones
Would be a better mock

Pick: 13 San Francisco 49ers Taylor Mays SS USC
13 seems high. I'm not a fan of the pick but I'm sure teams will fall in love with him.

Pick: 17 San Francisco 49ers (via Carolina) Bryan Buluga LT Iowa
Makes perfect sense.

Pick 49: San Francisco 49ers Colt McCoy Texas
QB from a single-read spread option offense. Athletic. Slight build. Limited arm-strength. Questionable accuracy, especially on mid-deep throws.

Sounds alot like Alex Smith. Unfortunately for McCoy, Smith is bigger, has a stronger arm, and finally has experience in a pro-style system.

Nate Davis IMO has significantly better tools than Colt McCoy and was just selected by the 49ers last season. I HIGHLY doubt the 49ers will enter the season with Alex Smith, Nate Davis, and a rookie as their QB depth chart.

Terrible Bucs mock.

The Buccaneers have four runningbacks on their active roster and one on the practice squad. Linebacker is also not a need.

I don't like Dez Bryant, but that is at least a need.

Defensive tackle, defensive end and cornerback are the top three needs in the second round if Dez Bryant is selected in the first.

Oaklands first is solid, in the second I like the idea of going corner but personally I prefer Kareem Jackson, I like Hughes there but we run a 4-3..can he play 4-3 DE?, Daryl Washington I like too .

Doesn't Dez Bryant have the same agent as Crabtree?

Do you really think he wouldn't demand #3 money?

my thoughts exactly. te is a need but Benn is better value then Gronkowski and WR is a need as well

Also, Carlos Dunlap is not a 5 technique end, and pretty much the last thing Denver needs is an OLB. Dumervil lead the NFL in sacks, and will be back even though he is a RFA. Ayers didn't put up incredible numbers to the average on looker, but he was about a step away from at least 6 sacks. He was the only one that was able to put pressure on Peyton Manning when the Broncos played the Colts.

You do realize picks 31 & 32, likewise #s 63 & 64, s/b reversed, the Saints won the SB, right?

I agree that Clausen is way too high like in most mocks now. Clausen without Tate is just an average QB with questionable arm strength IMO, his reeivers at ND made him look good.

Pick: 22 New England Patriots – Sergio Kindle 3-4 OLB Texas

Pick 43: New England Patriots (via Jacksonville) – Ryan Matthews RB Fresno St.
The Patriots really have missed Corey Dillon, and they could use a big, strong running back who just falls forward for 4-5 yards every play.

Pick 45: New England Patriots (via Tennessee) – Rob Gronkowski TE Arizona

Pick: 53: New England Patriots – Jon Asamoah OG Illinois

Good picks based on NE's needs. I love Kindle and Asamoah. I like Gronk & Matthews.

RB will be slightly surprising for me with other glaring needs (WR/C/G/ILB/OLB) and BB's penchant for picking up veteran rushers. It also looks like RB & TE are both spots that could be filled later in this draft.

Benn and/or Cody* would be good choices in those two spots. Misi would be a nice fit instead of G, too, even though I love Asomoah there.

Kindle / Benn / Cody* / Asamoah would make me happier than Kindle / Matthews / Gronkowski / Asamoah, especially with our great need for defensive help. Now if only I could get NE to draft the guys I want . . .

*assuming Wilfork gets tagged and wants out of NE, leaving us with a need at NT

I watched every Broncos game last year, and I think Robert Ayers is terrible. But, to each his own, I guess.
