Hey, gang. Question/favor/request: Does anyone know where I could get my hands on VHS (or other format) recordings of Drafts going back for many years (meaning, the ESPN coverage)?

I'm interested in going back and looking at the major stories that unfolded each year as they happened, for all years since ESPN started covering the Draft.

If anyone has any ideas, please PM me; I'm very happy to pay for shipping and return quickly (I can digitize them and save them on my hard drive).

Knowing this group, there has GOT to be someone who has a deep library of this stuff saved up. :)

thanks for any info you can provide...

Chris

p.s. I'm in suburban NYC area.

I've got them all on tape going back to 1995 and some from before then ('84, '89, '93, etc.)

They're mind though! :)

...then get thrown in jail for selling copyright footage.

Nah, he's not selling copyright footage. He's giving the tapes away, but charging for the effort to copy them.

I'm sure the ESPN lawyers will be very understanding.

Jeez, people. Must we get litigious? I'm sure a contribution to the site could be arranged... :)

I have them on VHS dated from 2000 up to last year. I actually started taping them in 1994, when Dan Wilkinson was #1 overall but I erased them. I had 94,95,96,97,98,and 99, but I was dumb and erased them all.

This guy in ESPN mag had his ID kept secret. He had 1000s of sports games on tape.

Internet archive can get some info from the last 10 years.
