View Full Version : Best NBA draft class ever

I think the '03 NBA draft class is the finest produced so far. It included players such as Lebron, Carmelo, D-Wade, Chris Bosh, Kirk Hinrich, T.J. Ford, Luke Ridnour and Josh Howard. All of these players are all very key starters. Half of these guys are their teams franchise players, the others are all integral parts of their Teams. Any thoughts If I'm right or if there is another better class?

Yeah, it was one of the best.. I'd say 1984 is the best ever (so far) since it produced Michael Jordan, "Hakeem" Olajuwon, Charles Barkley, and John Stockton.

It definitely has a chance to be the best ever. Three potential HOFers in LeBron, D. Wade, and Melo. Plus Bosh, Hinrich, and Ford will all likely be all stars

And I forgot to put Zydruna Illgauskas, MArcus Camby, JEff Mciinis and Derik Fisher. It's not only full of Superstars but chalk full of Good role players and none of those crazy wasted picks like in the '01 draft.

Darko is beastly. He just needs to get less timid out there.. Rebounding is his biggest problem. He can block, the J is there on and off.. but he can't rebound, he seems scared of picking up a foul. I'll give him until the end of next year before I curse at him.

84

jordan - agrueable best ever. top 50. MVPs, championships. allstart game (MVPs), etc

Hakeem - top 3 centers ever. top 50. MVP. championships

barkley - top 50 player. league mvp. did everything. MVP

stockton - most steals and assists ever. top pg all time. top 50. contender for years. one of all time duo's

can't go against the results until the rest of the guys careers are over. people just tend to forget how good the past is, just choosing what they know, or what hasn't happened yet.

Looking at that 96 draft it seems to me that only 2 guys r going to be HOF's. In the 84 draft there is at least 4 maybe more.

I count 3 current ALl-Stars and 8 players that look like they have All-Star Games in their future.

1984 produced 4 HOF players and a bunch of other crap players. 1996 produced 2 or 3,maybe 4 HOF players ( Allen Iverson, Kobe, Nash and if O'neal and Ray ALLen kee on playing like they have, maybe they get in) and a bunch of other good players.1996 has to be the best overall. Also, did cartmanclone get banned, because his name is not in blue and it can not be clicked on like every other name?

The 84 draft has all the legends. If Lebron plays up to potential and becomes the next Michael Jordan then his draft will be right behind it. The 84 draft without question though.

CB4 has been better than Melo in my opinion, no attitude problems, obvious team leader, board and point machine, can hit all the throws, even 3 pointers more often than not and he hasn't missed a whole lot of games.

Melo doesn't have an attitude, is the team leader/carrier, is a point machine, is extraordinarily clutch and his team has made the playoffs every year he's been the league(largely because of Carmelo).
