Best Draft in a Generation or Best Hyped?

I had an e-mail chat with a trusted source today and asked him to comment on claims that this draft could be one of the deepest, at least at the top, since the ballyhooed '83 Draft.

He said,

"those guys don't know because the scouts don't know. I do believe the first round number this year is going to be 21."

Well since we are at 27....I am a pretty firm believer that one of those 21 is going to have to be on the board or we are going to be looking to move down with a team that has a need that needs to be filled. Using that logic lets see it cowboys fans....name the 21 players with a 1st round grade.

I'm not as much of a firm believer in that we will trade down if one of those 21 don't reach us at 27.

For what it's worth, and I haven't followed the draft much this offseason, I can't see Odrick being one of those 21 guys. I'd expect Dan Williams, Kyle Wilson, or Sean Wetherspoon to be that last guy.

Rest of the list looks good.

If there's any luck Trent Williams will be the one to drop into Dallas' lap at 27. don't think there is a need for an OG & that's all Iupati can play. He's such a liability at LT that sportswriters will say Take Hwy. (Iupati's jersey no.) to the QB.

Williams is the one who most mocks have at that spot to Dallas anyway.

Jerry "I've Got A Draft Day Trade" Jones is such a flibbertygibbet he may trade #27 away seconds before they're on the clock

I have to say I don't think Sean Weatherspoon is a good fit for the Cowboys. But based on talent alone...he is really good talent for their pick.

Once again...I don't like him as far as fit goes. But if he fell and we took him-we could do worse. He is a nice player. And he doesn't suck. We have had worse picks lately.
