Did McClain kill your dog or something? Just because you have an irrational hate on for McClain doesn't make you right. You hate on him for this notion that he is so slow. I will be surprised if he doesn't clock in at a 4.7 at his pro day. His speed isn't elite but he definitely isn't slow. He's 6'4 255. He's the smartest and one most instinctive LB's in this draft. Because of his intelligence and ability to diagnose plays quickly, his reaction time is a lot quicker so having top end speed isn't as valuable. Many times you get these smaller, quicker LB's who run sideline to sideline but really struggle with not over-pursuing and often find themselves out of position (see Ernie Sims) McClain also brings a tough, physical presence on the inside and is a guy who a great biltzer and is very active on the other side of the LOS (26 TFL's and 7 sacks in 2 years). I will admit, he lacks top end speed but he is an inside thumper who is very effective at providing pressure on the biltz. He has a tremendous work ethic and although he may not be the speedy LB you love, he is going to be at worst, a very solid 3-4 ILB at the next level.

Both have very similar resumes coming out as RS sophmores from pass happy Big 12 offenses and both have great size and skills for the receiver position, but Dez has a little more horsepower. Can't lose with with either.
