Johnson has so-so talent, and wouldn't fit in our 4-3/3-4/4-6 hybrid.

Johnson fits it perfectly, he can play base DE in a 4-3 and OLB in a 3-4, what am I missing? Jarvis Moss cannot play base DE in a 4-3, and he is overrated.

Great Bucs pick nonetheless

It just doesn't make sense. It really doesn't.

actually it does and scot agrees:
1. Quarterback: It looks like Byron Leftwich is as good as gone and David Garrard has not established himself as the long-term starter.
2. Cornerback: Rashean Mathis and Brian Williams are fine as the starters but there really is not much to speak of in terms of depth.
3. Outside Linebacker: Mike Peterson is getting older and whether or not rookie Clint Ingram is a capable starter remains a question.

With nelson gone cb could be the pick

HE isnt a nickel corner!!! get your head straight before you talk! daymeion is the nickel corner! leon hall is the #1 rated CB in the draft! He is versatile and could even play safety.
once again look at what scot says:
12. Leon Hall SR CB Michigan
Battle tested COVERMAN who is not afraid to come up and be physical.

I agree completely... a nickel corner is no value in the first round. And Byron Leftwich is not as good as gone, they just named him the starter like 2 weeks ago!
