NHL Fantasy Draft

Feels like forever since we've done one of these.

Build the best team over the next 3 years.

I don't want to start this until after my birthday (Saturday night the 20th, it's my 21st, woo), but I'd like to get it organized so we can hit the ground running.

I am hoping maybe we can do this one on IRC.. make it quick.. take 2-3 hours or so.. or we can just do 10-12 rounds and finish it on the forums if people don't want to commit to that much time.

Lidstrom will be long gone, Pronger is already on the downhill, there's a decent chance Markov might be on the downhill. He's the early favorite, but Erik Johnson and Victor Hedman could both pose a threat in three years.

Just a general outsider's observation, but I absolutely love the Stamkos pick! I'm also kinda shocked Backstrom lasted so long. I thought he should have gone in the first round. He's a dynamic talent with or without Ovy.

That's exactly what I am doing. I find it a quite deal of success if you build your team with two star centermen.

Lucic is good to have but I don't think his value is that high for where you took him, and I wouldn't have Ehrhoff as one of my top 2 defenseman. He could actually be one of the better guys that we're getting into that you can get some prime years out of, but I wouldn't have him in my top pairing. Besides that nothing seems out of place.
