Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I made this thread last year as well, and coming from a very Irish family, I feel its important to spread the cheer on this holiest of days! Personally, this is one of my favorite days of the year, and I make sure to go out and have a good time, and encourage you all to do the same! So go, enjoy some green beer and good laughs, and thank the Irish for the day that encourages drinking and good times! Cheers!

I don't have a problem with it. In ranking Smithwick's, Murphy's, and Guinness it goes Murphy's, Smithy's, and Guinness. There's just something about Murph's. It's really smooth and goes down so damn easy.

Getting up early tomorrow. A few of my buddies are having a huge St. Patty's breakfast starting at 8:00 till 12. Followed by a few keggers. Then a pub crawl starting at about 4, followed by a huge party at a bar.

That's the plan as of now...but the likelihood of me making it to everything is pretty unlikely. However I am excited for some green scrambled eggs, green pancakes, and beer for breakfast tomorrow.

Happy to be with some other real Irishmen! This time of year everyone thinks theyre actually Irish. My name is Patrick, my father used to live in Ireland, and Ive got Irish blood on both sides of the family, so I think I qualify.
But of course, I have a professor who scheduled a midterm tomorrow. WTF is that?! So no drinking for me tonight.. well maybe a beer or two.

Huge day in my family today, I want to wish everyone a very drunk, yet safe St. Patrick's day. My grandmother used to get mad at my parents all the way through high school for making me go to school on St. Patrick's day.

She's no longer with us, but I want to give you guys my blessing - she used to call me every St. Patty's day to tell me this. And yes, this was in Blow, but I assure you the blessing was around before the movie. So, here's my blessing to every member of this board,

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hands.

Brought a huge tear to my eye, I miss her, and I don't know you guys but here's my toast,

Here’s to you and yours and to mine and ours. And if mine and ours ever come across to you and yours, I hope you and yours will do as much for mine and ours as mine and ours have done for you and yours!

Whistler if that is you in the photo did anyone ever tell you that you look like a a redhaired elfin Kiefer Sutherland?

Came in late Tues. night from EssEff, clock said almost midnight -- I thought close enough to SP Day so I found the stash of Jameson in the flask on the bookshelf & quaffed it, but not before I hoisted it with the traditional Irish toast of "Fook the Queen!!" I chorlted to myself about the jk. from th John Wayne biog about his fave drink being "whiskey & glass -- he poured the whiskey in the glass & drank it." John Wayne didn't screw around with froufrou cocktails that required pansy ingredients like ice..... everybody should have some Irish whiskey & watch John Wayne in The Quiet Man on SP Day.

Didn't get to bed until after 2, spent SP Day trying to ignore all the drunken revelers out there & getting rid of that clanging sound in my head.

An SP Day hangover is far worse than an all-day drunk on March 17th.
